I am one of those good healers. After two months Abx no symptoms but a twitch here and there and mild ankle pain brought on by a hot tub. For which I think I just need to strengthen the ankle, and have been working on it. Also, I am on Codwen protocol right now - day 14.
But if I don't eat PERFECTLY, I don't feel as well. I am talking fatigue and slight stomach issues.
Do you all eat perfectly, with zero alchohol?

Have you had a food allergy panel?
After many years of LYme, I developed allergies to wheat, eggs, dairy.
If you have mild allergies, you may not know it, but you can suffer from chronic inflammation as a result.
editing to add: Yes, I try never to deviate from a diet appropriate to my issues. When I deviate, I feel much worse.

You sound like my 92 year old aunt who enjoys good health to this day. Genetics ? Good immune system ?
I want your blood. I already have Lyme.
Speaking strictly of myself, I eat clean.
Daily amounts of raw garlic, raw ginger root, cilantro, green apples, green tea, massive filtered water, vegetables, lean meats.
No dairy, sugar, flour, wheat, sweet fruits.
No alcohol.
Lots of high quality supplements and vitiamins. Some herbs.
Physically, I don't really notice any difference.
Mentally, I feel like I m doing the right thing.
How long have you had Lyme ? Co-infections ? Are you middle aged ?
Don't answer if you don't feel comfortable.
P.S. Auntie married into family so I unfortunately don't have the same genetic make-up.

Cottonbrain, I have not had a food allergy panel. Is this best to be done via DNA? I am definitely allergic to dairy, maybe sensitive to wheat, and I have a bad reaction to alcohol. Thanks for your response.
Bonnie: 55, had Lyme 11 years ago, licked it (for the most part) pretty quickly once I Figured out what it was. And then got bitten again - had an obvious aretha migrans rash- this last September. Honestly, I think I was bit by a spider this time, and from what I have researched - it's possible!
So yes, I think I need to eat clean - give it a while, 6 months, a year, and try again at that time to see if I am still sensitive to things. Presently, it might be too soon in my healing to just act like I am perfectly fine.
I am fortunate, I know, that I have an easier time with this than many. But even what I have had to deal with sucks. I want to be normal! I truly feel for the others that are hit really hard.
