Recently, TF and another member posted that there is a horrible chemical burn if taking Doxy in the summer. Does this chemical burn also occur if taking Liposomal Doxy?
Warning label for Bactrim states to "avoid excessive exposure to direct and/or artificial sunlight". Does this mean that there could be a chemical burn as well?
Besides the discoloration in using Rifampin, are there other side effects not listed on the warning label that someone has experienced?

I can't give you specifics on each drug, sorry. And not everyone reacts the same, although the sun burn warning is a very good one and I would take it seriously.
Any of the "cyclines", like Doxycycline, minocycline, etc. can cause sun sensitivity, from what I understand.
Here is a drug data base where you can look up side effects of each of your meds.
I would also contact your pharmacist and ask them anything you are concerned about because they have access to the most updated and advanced info on drugs.

BTW- I don't look up any side effects or read any of the warnings in advance, but that's just me.
I know if I did I'd never take any meds. HA! It is hard enough now to convince me to take any pills, so reading all the horror info ahead of time wouldn't help me at all.
IF I have a problem and it seems serious I will check it out by calling the pharmacist.
