Ugh. . . .

Here we go again, dreaded fall allergies.
The minute 1 leaf drops to the ground, I suffer.

Can't afford another doctor.
Looking for any remendies that de-sensitize your immune system to allergens but not decrease immune system function?

Previous treatments were always steroids and antibiotics.
We all know how that ended. Not good.

In a perfect world, i would have a boat load of money in order to be treated properly.

Any and all suggestions as to what works for you would be greatly appreciated.

Daily preventive measures do what I think you are asking.

1: Nasalcrom Nasal Spray (OTC)
This is a Mast Cell Stabilizer, 2 squirts each nostril 4x daily

2: Xyzal: (OTC)
Take 1 tablet once daily
**This is the safest, most effective antihistamine available. Specifically it's the pure, active component derived from Zyrtec. Components that previously caused side effects associated with older antihistamines were removed.

To prevent allergy symptoms, you need to take these medications regularly. If you wait until you have symptoms, you will always struggle with sinus problems & such.

People feel better on their medications so they think that they don't need them anymore. Then couple weeks later get upset because symptoms are back & they don't know why.

Also shower before bed if you've been outside that day.

And you might want to use AC instead of leaving windows open.

Don't play in leaves.

Don't go in barns. Or antique stores.

Avoid dusty places.

wow!

thought i was the only one!!

dead decaying leaves are my nightmare. for like a full month is just hell torture breathing that in.

wish I had an answer! move to Arizona?

what about treating it a a mold allergy and using cholestyramine? I have considered this.

Nasal Crom helps me .. I also take Claritin or Zyrtec.

You guys never disappoint. Thanks for great suggestions.

Today s been brutal with clinking ears, vertigo, sore throat, headache, bending fills ears with fluid.

I think low barametric pressure has something to do with it also. That's why I don't think I would be a good candidate for mhbot.

I always get so sick in fall. Colds and infections. Not fun.

Tomorrow I have IVIG. It will be my first time getting it during the fall season. Hoping it helps my disfunctional immune system so I don't suffer so much. Keep you posted.

Unfortunately IVIG didnt make any noticeable improvement.

Catgirl, that's sounds really interesting. The Practioners are all located in Canada and I didn't renew my passport.

So I m using nasalcrom, silver, Claritin, and alka selzer.

Boy, the sick days are really starting to add up.
