Good morning
I've been away for a while. Just slugging along. Learning to live with this. But lately the pain in the lower right back and right hip has gotten worse.

And then it is outdone, usually in the middle of the night, by a sensation that wakes me up that feels like someone is waving my lower back in the wind, or applying electric shock treatment...

the mri suggests herniated discs at l3-l4 and worse herniation at l4-l5...but there is also evidence of arthritis...the MD says my lower back is a "mess"

the Phys therapist is convinced the pain is mostly from the arthritis and not the discs...

walking has become difficult

sometimes the weakness and numbness extends down my thighs...

to add a complicating factor I'm pretty sure I picked up some kind of GI bug on my exotic vacations that is still with me, so my stomach when not acidic and gurgling makes me feel like there is a hole there

also, it seems a chest xray shows some of my "air sacs" have collapsed...the MD has no suggestions for why or how to fix or even refer me to a pulmonologist but I think this may be the reason I have a hard time walking up inclines and especially stairs...

I don't want to overwhelm you but my first concern right now is the back and hip and leg problems

if anyone has a suggestion I'd love to hear it....

regards
danP

Are you still fighting lyme or done with lyme treatment ?

I know the hips are one of the loved places for Borrelia (as well as knees)...

I think I'd try some Chlorophyll from Standard Process for the stomach.

Homeopathic Hypericum perfoliatum is for shock like sensations. That can be picked up at any health food store for about 8$.
