I have a bad case of thrush. so the dr gave me liquid nystatin, 2 oz, swish and swallow.

first dose was ok, second dose ok but then I went to bed.

omg!!! I woke up at 2 doubled over in pain. my stomach hurt so bad I felt like it was going to burst. my throat was closing up and I couldn't breath. bp, of course, was 179/123. my heart was pounding so hard in my back it felt like a giant fist.

I took a clonidine to get pressure down and drank some water. I was so nervous I felt like I was shaking, ended up walking the floor trying to calm down.

I used it this morning but spit it out.

I called the pharmacist and they said they have never heard of this happening. they said they fill hundreds of this prescription and no complaints.

wth happened? has anybody reacted like this? he also gave me 150 of diflucan and said take if I wanted to as backup.

Doesn't it contain alcohol? I know it contains sugar, so maybe it caused acid reflux?

Did he give you just ONE pill of Diflucan?

he gave me six diflucan pills. right now I'm thinking to take them every other day.

I'm so sensitive that if I took them every day, I'd end up bedridden.

Yes, even cut them in half. 75 mg is a good amount!
