If it doesn't let up soon, you may need an MRI to see if a disc has slipped out of place.
My bet is on inflammation in the body.
Do you take curcumin or something similar? It takes awhile to work, but I can't do without it.
I also got great relief from eliminating grains .. esp gluten. Helped a ton. Try it strictly for two weeks and see what you think.
Also cut back on sugar and any excessive amounts of dairy.

I am really hurting. I took an alleve back and muscle for pain.
I can't figure this out. only one thing has happened. i fell three weeks ago, hitting the back of my lower head and neck on the ottoman.
since then I've had pain on the right lower portion of my head, in right shoulder and arm, little finger and jaw. when I first fell I had the headache from hell...nothing touched it. my legs feel like jello, often so weak I can barely walk. stinging between my shoulder blades.
I've had to stop shopping and return home I was so nauseous and weak. thought I was going to pass out in walmart.
forgot to mention how tired I am and so sleepy. I can sleep 24/7. jus exhausted.
thank heavens he was gone. I went to bed and curled up.
strange thing tho. my bp has been normal since the fall. I mean below 140 and even into teens. It's scary strange. I was running over 160 every day and often 200. taking clonidine almost daily. now I jus take my diovan in the morning and nadolol at night.
I didn't go to my dr because he was in europe for a month...uh huh...
it's all strange.
update: talked to my sister. she said it sounded like a severe trapezius strain or tear. she had one and it took a very long time to get over. don't know anything bout this. but I did try to lift an extremely heavy box out of my car trunk. I dropped it when my neck and upper back jus gave out. this was before I fell.

You're saying you had a hard fall - this could have knocked bones out of place. Muscle spasms and nerve pain can develop. I suggest checking it out with a good chiropractor to see if they can find anything out of place. They can also take xrays.
