does anybody have extreme irritability that comes with lyme where you act without thinking because my personality has made a complete 360 flip around for the worse
because I'm on depakote 250 mg for panic disorder and bipolar but I almost feel like the meds arent maintaining my moods like they're not effective
so can lyme block the meds from working when it attempts to level out the brain chemicals when it's already invading the receptor
or maybe my doctor needs to fine tune my cocktail again and search for a better solution because this brain fog if it's lyme indeed just is awful cuz I feel like I'm a vegetable most of the day because I just can't think

My opinion is you haven't found the treatment yet that's going to help.
Also, have you had your thyroid levels checked? I couldn't think very well and found out I was low thyroid, went on Armour thyroid, and could think again.
We're all different, so we have to discover what's going to work for us.

To explain more of what Robin was speaking of..
Here's what you must have you doctor test for when it comes to the thyroid:
TSH Free T4 Free T3 Reverse T3 TPO & TgAB
Don't just tell the doc to test thyroid because I would guarantee, he would test only TSH and you would have no answers from that.
Thyroid is extremely important when one has Lyme & co, for it's known to attack the thyroid. If your thyroid hormones aren't optimal, you are spinning your wheels and are very ill.
I know you have an insurance problem. This is just one more thing that is covered by Medicaid that you can have tested.
There are many things that Medicaid and Medicare cover that may get you some answers and help you feel somewhat better.

This will sound weird, but here goes...
When in that situation I would sometimes go to my chiropractor and tell him to "make me nice again".
And he would! Almost instantly!
There is an adjustment for this situation. I wouldn't have never believed it till I saw it work- multiple times.
BUT- you must tell them about it! It's not a "routine" adjustment.

Is it your C1 atlas vertebra? It definitely affects thinking and mood. I get a lot nicer after that adjustment...almost think I don't have Lyme anymore. Ha.

yes, I was a beast before any treatment. like really beastie. It went away 100% after initial treatment and is now back slightly with my bart (? or babs (?) sxymptoms that have returned.
were you checked for these 2 coinfections? my son was getting really creepy weird before his treatment too.

it has been shown, in controlled studies, to be as good as prescription drugs for OCD and has helped me with Lyme symptoms (a lot)
it is a B-vitamin precursor? you can look it up and read more
it is pleasantly sweet and easy to take
took 3-4 days for me to work and when I stopped, took 2-3 days to get symptoms back - how you react may depend on your level of need for this
may be worth a try

kevin1983, definitely let your doctor know how you are feeling. It can take time to find the right med combination.
