What are everyone's thoughts on Galaxy labs bartonella testing? Is it still mostly unreliable, or does it have some value?

I finally gave in and sent blood last week after treating for over 8 years. They are suppose to be the best for Bart test.

Hi HW88:
They are rated the best but that doesn't mean it doesn't give false negatives.
In looking back over my daughter's chart we tested 21 times for Bartonella. Initially with Quest and then Quest & Igenex and then Galaxy & or Quest and Igenex. OF the 21 tests on 14 occasions we sent to more than one Lab from the same blood draw.
This testing was from 2010 - 2017 (7 years) with Galaxy testing 4 times in 2016/2017. Galaxy all 4 times was positive. Igenex was negative 3 of the same draws Quest was positive for 3.
Of the 17 done prior to early 2016, 10 were to Quest and Igenex. 5 of the 10 had one positive and the other Lab negative (the other 5 draws were negative from both). Of the 5 positives (Quest had 3 positive and Igenex was negative and then Igenex had 2 positives while Quest was negative.
Since I have her chart history open for Lyme her WB from Igenex only had IgG band 41 IND with the rest negative and from the same blood draw she cultured the borrelia bacteria.
Just trying to point even if the tests come back negative doesn't mean you don't have the infection.
Good luck,
