Hi I have been battling Lyme and co for 14 years. Was in remission but now back in Lyme land for over a year. Has anyone had success with Acupuncture particularly for neuropathic pain? I started 2 weeks ago and feeling awful like I’m herxing and don’t know if I should continue. I have been on herbs but no abx this time around. Any thoughts are appreciated. I am not in a good place right now. Thank you

I went to a very good acupuncturist and it did not help me.
That being said, I do know that a lot of people benefit from acupuncture.
Maybe someone else will step up and give their experience.
Could the herbs be causing the herx rather than the acupuncture?

What kind of neuropathic pain do you have? Do you have pain from a particular area of the spine, for example? Or Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS?
If it's from an area of the spine, perhaps, acupuncture can help. Although even there, is it coming from nerve damage coming from the spine, or what?
If it's CRPS, it would only exacerbate the pain; it would make if horribly worse for quite a while.
Acupuncture can help a lot of things, but not all things of course. For neuropathic pain, probably no.

I got massage therapy and acupuncture for years. Both were three weeks apart and not scheduled on the same week.
The massage therapy effectively helped me manage pain. I couldn't tell if the acupuncture helped at all.
I think both practitioners were good at what they did. The massage was for FM, which I have in addition to Lyme disease.
