https://thecehf.org/what-is-morgellons/

One of the top Lyme-literate docs has written a book about it:

"Morgellons: The Legitimization of a Disease: A Factual Guide" by the World's Leading Clinical Expert Dr. S.

recent studies have found mixed bacterial biofilms in the skin are involved - main ones

borrelia
h-pylori (yes the stomach ulcer causing bacteria)
bartonella
Rickettsia
others

they appear to alter the protein producing machinery of the skin cells to cause them to form the characteristic keratin fibres - rather than skin scales of normal epidermis

the difficult in treating is likely due to 3 main things
-difficult to kill bacteria in the first place
-living in a preferential site with poor abx penetration
-bacteria communities protected inside biofilms

interesting paper here describing these type of findings

Milton - could you perhaps expand on your comments to indicate what in your opinion was wrong with the paper by M et al?

in fairness i think we are a bit off topic

as i understood it the paper mentioned above says basically "we looked in the skin of people with Morgellons and here we found mixed bacterial colonies in biofilms"

i'm not sure they claimed to prove causality by any one species or another

the bit that i found interesting was the biofilm was apparently consisting largely of Alginate - which was new to me - and doesn't seem to fit with fibrinolytic enzymes often used by clinicians

just wanted to add that its come to my attention that one of the authors of the paper i mentioned above has a prior history of some questionable behaviour in regards to previous publications.

it seems some previous Dr. S has a history of dubious data practices and some of his papers have been rejected at peer review. so as always - we need to evaluate critically and seek verification from more than one source where possible.

in many states doctors trying to help patients with treatments both they and the patient want and believe in are persecuted by medical boards for stepping outside outdated and dogmatic guidelines.

we need some regulation of course - but what happens when medical science does not understand a condition - just throw people on the scrap heap? - of treat them compassionately and explain options and risks and make a decision on how to move forward?

I suspect Ms S was in this latter camp - and was not recording the long term abx for people who the medical establishment wrote off as having hallucinations about stuff in their skin so she could go on helping them.

Do you have to find the fibers also. I heard you need a high magnifier to see them-so how do you know. Do you need antibiotics.

Why in the world would anyone that has been in Lyme world for any length of time question that a doctor/researcher was marked as wacko, by "the par for the course" medical establishment, concerning their writing about something from our crazy Lyme & co.

In the current state of medical stupidity and out and out lying by the powers that be, how could you believe the so called experts on anything.

I'm also trying to understand why in 2021, Lymenet is still hiding doctors names on their site. 20 years ago we had to protect them, but really it was foolish then. The establishment knew the names of doctors treating us because they went after them openly and tried to kick them & those of us suffering down with medically legalities.

Continuing to hide in the closet the names and truth on Lyme when ILADS and LDA both put Lyme research with lyme literate doctors/researchers names out there openly on the web. These lyme literate doctors even openly post their research and truth on the web.

Milton, thanks for posting all of the above info on bartonella. Pretty scary when microscope pics show bart having sex with an amoeba. Lord, help us.

The highly intelligent Lyme & co researchers over the last 10 yr years have told us that all these bacteria, fungi, where not the same as they were years and years ago and changes were evident in the protozoa, amoeba, viruses, bacteria(s) etc behaviors/symptoms and their resistance to antibiotics of today.

Good question, Pam. The reason for not mentioning doctor names has been to protect them. I do not know whether Lyme doctors have protection in all 50 states and around the world. If we allow the well-known docs to have their names mentioned here, the concern is that people then will mention all Lyme doctor names, and we don't know that that is safe to do everywhere - they may still be getting attacked.

If anyone knows anything more about this situation, as in attacks going on currently against Lyme doctors and/or in various states, could you let us know?

I see this is a Morgellons thread. Pam, or anyone, would you like to start a post in General Support asking whether people are aware of any current attacks on their Lyme doctor or in their state. No names can be given, but I think this info could be useful at this point, to see what's still going on.

Milton, you should have stayed with the ND. Truth tellers are hard to find these days.

I've had 2 NDs in my life since '03. The first one was a gift from God. She too did darkfield. She was shocked by some of the stuff in my blood because she had never seen anything like it in her other patients. lol

Three weeks later she called to tell me she just looked at my cousins blood. Another patient ill and had some strange things going on, just like mine.

This ND got me going with a Beam Ray Rife & I bought one for home use. Two months later the feds invaded her business and wiped her out. She was treating the big "C" with rife in her office.

So I stumbled around with other alternative types folks until '18 I found my 2nd ND. Rifing lyme, bart and babesia for 15 yrs. Things were up and down but really mostly down. I had no clue who/what was really dragging down until Quantum Biofeedback.

With biofeedback, my bad guys had different names and given direction on how to proceed with biofilms (galore), immune support, detox protocols, fungi and mold, viruses, parasites.
My 2nd ND was a GB4000 Rife pro too. So now I really had help with using my blessing Rife machine.

Ups, downs and now mostly ups. Reality is I will always be chasing certain bad guys. Just last week I told my mother, I feel like the old me from 20 yrs ago. Of course then some bad guy decided to pop back up in the last several days.

I'll knock "it" down as soon as I figure out who it is. Sore throat coming and going. I tried frequencies for Lyme, strep, EBV, cold and it only disappears for hours to pop back up again.

I've called this the Big Puzzle for many years. It still is. I accept the challenge.

I wasn't reading this thread for myself. It was for a dear friend that I came on here to do some searching.
