My husband sprays organic garlic spray a few times each summer. Smells bad but seems to suppress ticks and mosquitoes.
I say "seems" because I have no idea if it is truly safe, or if it actually works. It is not supposed to harm pollinators.
We've used it for years because we had a dog with epilepsy who could not tolerate heartworm meds. He never developed heartworms and we never found a tick on him ...
