This would be something you would take pre-exposure like before hiking or camping or working in the yard.

Thought it was interesting.

How would this prevent the transmission of Lyme disease and co infections? because as soon as the tick attaches it can transmit infection

This is credelio in dogs. I gave my dogs just one dose. Made them sick. (I won't say as a dog...).

If it makes my dogs sick, there is no way I am taking it. I use permethrin embedded collar kerchiefs on them if it is above 40 degrees. I spray them with a horse fly spray that is dog friendly and a tick repellent.

I worry about the lack of distrust of the pharmaceutical industry when it comes to Lyme. The vaccine made so many people sick it was removed from the market. And after Covid vaccines and the injuries there. It warrants some scrutiny, imo.

Not a fan.

Good question. As in dogs, the drug doesn't repel or prevent the tick from attaching; it actually must attach for the drug to kill the tick.

It sounds like they're going on their (false) premise that it takes 36 to 48 hours for a tick to transmit disease in humans (maybe that is true for dogs?)...in which case, back to the drawing board.
