Meg-First of all IMPOSSIBLE-Lyme doesnt exist in oregon!....I heard it from over 25 drs! Lishka doesnt have lyme, only CFS, Arthritis...mind you no rheumatoid factor, Cardiac conduction problems creating three near heart attacks and two congestive heart failures, seizures, and put a health active 7 yr old child into a wheelchair within a year.....but, never mind, couldnt be a lyme, babesia or erlichia that they treated her for and she is now walking, going to school, hasnt had a heart "attack" in a year, no more seizures...funny coincidence eh??? We got ours at Cultus Lake or Sisters wilderness, how about you?

Lishs Mom I would love to compare notes with you on who you're seeing and the bad docs here.....got mine in my backyard. We live in the hay growing desert to the SE of you. I went to lots of docs myself beginning with the BMClinic who told me "you don't need to worry we don't have lyme here routine"....right, we're 100 miles above the Northern CA. border dingbats! I'll put my mail up here for a few days in the hopes you will write then erase it later.

I'm curious C-Rob - you only have five posts on Lymenet, the 5th being a poll request of Lymie history. What's up? What is the purpose of this Poll? I notice your email address says "no longer available" on your profile. I'd like to know what you're doing with this information . . .

Originally told I had allergies and was treated for allergies for 14 years, instead of lyme. In l998 I was told I needed knee surgery(I refused). Mid l998 a lyme diagnosis. Still very sick after IV and oral treatment of 12 weeks. Neurologist said I couldn't still have lyme. Thomas Rush, Infectious Diease doctor told me I never had lyme and shoud see a shrink. Many doctors later I now had fibromyalgia and then finally back to a lyme diagnosis. I saw 46 doctors in total to arrive at my final diagnosis.

1) 51 2) Male 3) New Jersey 4) August 1997 (possibly Sept.) Bulls eye in September. 5) On and off since 1997. Worse this year, may have had babesia infection since March/April. Was working a lot and thought I was just tired. Full blown in August. Taking Doxy, Zithromax, Omnicef, Mepron since then. 6)Had bulls eye and doctor started treatment right away. Only surfaced once or twice a year since '97.
This was such a great idea. I like the listing 1,2,3,etc. Makes it easier for me to understand and not read so much. Really having trouble with the eyes and brain fog. Would like to see a list of tests done and what drugs are used? How many have co-infections? Very interesting.

At our house, it's my 15 yr. old son who has active Lyme disease. We live in Middle Tennessee. He first got it in the Spring of '97. Our Family Physician, seeing 2 bulls-eye rashes and Classic Lyme Symptoms after multiple tick bites, said "I know you think this is Lyme Disease, but the thing is, we don't even HAVE Lyme disease in Tennessee". To appease me, he gave our son 10 days of erythromycin. Strangely enough, the symptoms went away and we naively thought that was the end of it. Four years later, a rather serious accident triggered the disease to become active again. It took us about 6 mos. and thousands of dollars in medical bills tho, before he was finally accurately diagnosed with Lyme. Mostly what we were told was, "We don't see anything" or "Everything looks fine!" The only thing they did find was Acid Reflux and a Hiatal Hernia. Our son has been seeing a LLMD for the past 12 mos. but has made very little, if any, progress. On Jan. 9 we will have our 1st appt. with the much acclaimed Dr. J a Pediatric Lyme Specialist, and we are Very optomistic.
