I have had LD for years and been on abx for a year and a half. This morning my husband asked me what my mother said on the phone last night. I am completely blank. He said I talked to her and sat downstairs with him while I did. I can't remember one thing aboout last night other than my son came into bed with me and we fell asleep together. He is 6. I have had this intense headache for three days. Could this be related? Is this what they consider a black out or just another memory problem? I am really worried about this because it has never happened to me at this magnatude. I have had short term memory problems but nothing like this! Someone tell me should I be concerned, or should I just post it up to one more thing this crummy disease can do. Nancy

I think it's common but you should ask your LLMD, just to be sure.

I don't think total memory loss, or periods where you lose total track of time is common with lyme or coinfecions. At least for so long of a period. I"ve heard of people forgetting their way home etc..but never losing an entire night of their life.
you may want to check with your llmdand have him refer you to a good lyme neurologoist to look into this further.
remember. we tend to forget, not EVERYTHING is lyme related...this may not be.

Do you take any sleeping meds like Ambien for example?
Ambien would do this to me - I had two abdominal ultrasounds, a picc line put in (I drove myself to the hospital and home), numerous phone conversations, etc. that I have absolutely no memory of.
At the time I was taking 10mg of Ambien before bed. Apparently, a side effect of ambien is amnesia. Once I stopped taking the ambien (and suffered through the rebound insomnia) what I thought was lyme fog and memory problems miraculously stopped.
Lisa is right - we can't pull the lyme card for every bump, twitch, ache, etc. Maybe a good (hopefully lyme literate) neurologist could shed some light on what is going on...
