she was 1:64 serial dilution....
so if she was 1:128 2 years ago she has another 2 years of ABX to go.. or so you might think anyways...
I can bet we were all 1:128 before we started I know mom was. dad and my husband were,, may they rest in peace... I can bet my kids were too.. so maybe with some more treatment I can beat this ...
my sister has some issues the doctor is looking into concerning the brain.. since she is not responding well to treatment with cognitive issues..
will post update later

I am not sure serial dilution means much in terms of progress of lyme. It measures the amount of lyme in the blood. But can migrate to the brain, joints etc. out of the blood and be hidden.

There is some debate that antibiotics do drive lyme out of the blood deeper into the body. Maybe someonelse can jump in on this. That doesn't mean healing won't come, though. Hiker

My Bowen test was 1:16 when initially diagnosed. then came back 1:8 after 1 yr oral abx - which did reflect that i had improved.

However i dont believe that the strength of serial dilution measures the severity of the illness as i've got a low dilution yet have been severely affected & am still mainly bedbound & housebound. & i've found people with high dilution havent been hardly as badly affectd & disabled as me!

Either that or lyme isnt responsible for the worst of my symptoms?? (no babs nor ehrlcihia detected either) - maybe some other c0-infection?

How reliable are Bowen at detecting co-infections?

I think you hit it Liz,, or maybe the other track of thinking is the body was working on other issues at the same time it was fighting the LD..
Maybe the Co's hvae weakened the body enough that it will not respond to treatment as well as others.. maybe some bodies were fighting it with their own immune system and it helped prevent them from degrading as fast.

I guess bottom line is we willnot know truly how this thing works unless someone is willing to do the research and find out what makes this culprit tick, "so to speak", sorry for the punn..

I hope it is soon too ,,,
