It's 9;30 he's sleeping. Poor man is getting up at 5am.
When do you think he'll herx? I lied and said he might feel something on day three.
I'm so worried. Wringing my hands.
Heather, has he already been through the Doxy and Cefin?
And this is his third antibiotic?

Depends on how strong his immune system is in its responce and how big a load he's carring of spirochetes and how efficient his body is of ridding itself of toxins. Its all a combination effect. If hes got a good immune responce and the spirochete load is high and his body cant flush toxins as fast as there made he should feel it fairly quick. I know I was infected for years(1988 to 2000)before getting a llmd and treatment I really didnt herx until the around the third month and it didnt lighten up for three months then I herxed every 28 to 34 days. It really seems to be a indvidual thing.
Now Iam back on treatment after being off for 11 months I took my first pill abx at work at 7:30am and by 12noon I ached all over and by 3:30 I had severe cold symptoms one of the bodies way's of flushing itself.
Then ached for weeks but that was partly my fault I forgot to take my Ibuprophen 3 times a day I was so busy worrying over my wifes broken foot and swollen left knee making sure she took her stuff meds I forgot about me. hahahaha

Hi Tree, I hope the herx subsides soon for you and your wife heals quickly.
My poor guy has diarhea.
It's only day 3. I'm figuring tomorrow he'll be real sick.
I told him to get a replacement for work tomorrow.
He said, "no!" We need him to make a certian amount of hours in the union to keep our medical benifits.
Why did that f'ng doctor give him zith???? He takes prilosec everyday. Isn't biaxin easier on the stomache?
I fugure he'll be herxing on mepron and [email protected]%ng his brains out tomorrow. I hope he gets a replacement for tomorrow.
Damn Babesia to hell!!!!!!!!

He must take acidophilis at least 2hrs before and 2hrs after abx untill he gets the skids under control. Then take 2hrs after abx's.
I took 2or3 when that happened to me before and after then backed down to 1 or 2 after abx's.
Tell him to eat the yougurt that you have to stir up it seemed better to me that the ready to eat kind tell him 3 or 4 of the yougurts a day always 2hrs before or after or youll kill the benificial bacteria.

Sorry to hear about your hubby -- and I realize my hubby probably has it too, but he 'feels fine' and doesn't seem interested in spending money for tests of abx for him.
I think doc gave your hubby Zith because that's what they do.....Mepron & Zith together. Don't know why. I don't know if even the docs know why.
Diarrhea is bad - yes. But look on the bright side honey - at least he's AWAKE while he's having it!

Hey Kiss.....
The 'sh**s" could also be die off...more likely candida, but could also be the bug dying in his gut.
Sorry to hear that you and him both have this....nice to know you are their for him.
Keep his strength up. Don't forget, Children's FastMelt Benedryl tablets for herxes...under the tongue they are a God Send.
I would also recommend some Lily of the Valley Aloe Vera Gel....sooth that digestive tract...he could also get diarrhea from this, but it will work out.
Remeber....have him do some deep breathing excercises, stretches, and keep the rest and PH balanced food coming.
God Bless, Kent
