Well, I am leaving town tomorrow to go to the place where I am getting married on Saturday. Then I will be gone for a while on my honeymoon.

Here is the problem...I can't pee!! Seriously, it won't come out! This is freaking me out. My LLMD is out until Monday and I will be out of the country then.

Is it possible this is Lyme or could this really be something serious? I just don't have time to go to a doctor/ER. The right side of my back hurts near my spine but I am not sure if it is my kidneys or my back muscles.

Could abx be shutting down my kidneys? Am I going into kidney failure? This is SCARY!

CALL LLMD office immediately; anyone else there to ask question of.

edited: do you have a primary care MD...call them?

If not, CALL HOSPITAL; you can't let this go wedding or not.

Also, edit/PENCIL icon your post topic...add CAN'T PEE; NEED HELP. You've got people's attention by a specific problem ok!

I would call another doctor or a clinic and see if I could talk to somebody. It might be one of those things that if you can't urinate for X hours, you need to get medical assistance. If you do have to go to a hospital, better before you travel.

What a bummer!

you are going to have to at least get a hold of your dr whether you have time or not!

That way you can hopefully be on your way to having it "fixed" before the wedding.

This is probably from the Lyme, but it is a very serious symptom.

Don't ignore it -- you don't want to get an infection and end up missing the wedding and the honeymoon!!!!

Call a doc, hospital or ER.

This is not medical advice, but just my opinion.

I know you are under incredible stress right before the wedding, but you need to be examined by a physician.

PLEASE call your doctor, he may advise you to go to the Emergency Room.

I agree with all the above posts.

Get to a doctor ASAP!!!! Or clinic or ER >> They need to run some blood work and they can cath you to give temp relief.

Could be kidney's . But if you can't void you could go into failure real quick...

Also I wouldn't drink anything untill you can pee too.

please don't wait

Hi everyone. Thank you sooooo much for your concern and suggestions, and thank you to all who PM'd me.

As luck would have it, my internet connection went down 30 minutes after I posted and we just got it up and running this morning! ugh. So, I couldn't respond until now.

I was finally able to urinate last night, but it was difficult and a bit forced. When I go, not much comes out even though it feels as though a lot is in there. It almost feels like something is blocking my urethra and keeping it from flowing out freely.

Does that make sense? I know Lyme causes some urinary hesitancy and sometimes I have had this before on a smaller scale.

I will call my LLMD this morning as I leave town and if needed, I will visit an urgent care center at my destination, which used to be my hometown so I have doctors there who can see me.

I will update you all when I get back from my honeymoon!!

You guys are the best.
