I've searched this but can only find the same
questions not the answers.

When do you take garlic?

Can you take it with your antibiotic dose?

Can you take it at the same time with other vitamins?

Empty stomach or after a meal?

Away from probiotics that much I am sure of.

Thanks, another bottle joins the carousel.

Heres a previous discussion on garlic:

http://flash.lymenet.org/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=045264

I always take garlic supps with fod otherwise they upset my tummy.

Its a good idea to ask your LLMD weather or not it will interfer with your abx & other meds.

5Dana8,

Says the page cannot be found, think you might
be referring to Timacas post. Still does not
answer the antibiotic question.
Do you take antibiotics? If so how far apart
do you take your garlic? And yes I will take with
some food. Everything has to be taken with food
Im always eating!

Sorry, I fixed the link.

I would ask your LLMD if you can take it with your abx or not.

In the mean time go to drug digest.com

scroll down to the bottom and keep clicking. There are a few warnings.

Mares eat oats

and does eat oats

and littl lambs eat Ivy...

A kid'l eat ivy too...would'nt you...

Sorry Marsy...could'nt help myself...

Listen...I always take supps with food...other than interferring with blood thinning meds I don't believe garlic interferes with anything else...
But at least check with your md or pharmacist always first...

Do you have a juicer....I used to juice up red cabbage, tomatoes, parsley, kale, broccoli and a few cloves of garlic...
Also on the side after you cleaned out your juicer...juice some beets....

Cuz after you drink the first recipe you're gonna need something to get the tase out of your mouth...
But I guarantee...you'll benefit...especially if you have some lung/breathing/energy issues...
but stop drinking the coffee......

Always drink juices slowly while you eat something...

Zman,

The ol' Gray Mare ain't what she used to be..

Yes, I have a Champion paperweight in the kitchen

Where did you get that recipe? for gas.
Never thought about juicing broccoli or kale.

I never mix the drinking with the eating!

Mom used to say "whatever you do don't give up the coffee..."

Hey there Marsy,

You came here looking for answers to your questions...

I gave you my best answers...if you decide you don't like them then go get some other answers and God be with you.

My opening lines were from a song by Spike Jones much before your and my times...
I seem to have been on a humorous song kick lately!

The juicing is not a recipe for gas...

You'll only get GAS if you eat all that stuff...not when you drink the juice...if on the off chance you do...add a few drops of BEANO!

If you don't eat while you drink this combo then all the good stuff won't be absorbed into your bloodstream with the food...

That is why supplements are always taken with food...unless otherwise specified.

Coffee/caffein is one of the substances that are frowned upon with lymies...
So unless momma has lyme...you would be better off not listening to her and you may experience less nerve pain my dear.

At least you got answers and not more questions like you said in your initial inquiry...

Liking or not liking the answers is purely subjective.

Good luck in your quest.......zman

I have a chicken simmering on the stove right now in a bath of two heads of fresh garlic pressed, 1/2 a bunch of garlic, 1/2 a bunch of parsley and all the good stuff like carrots and celery that you put in chicken soup...YUM!

I try to eat it fresh on salads and mix it in with sandwich fillings.

Zman,

I was just sending you a separate message after
sending my thank you to Gigi since you seem so
upset with my response.

I thought I would respond with a funny message so I sent you back another Mare song
making fun of myself of course.

The juice recipe would probably be good for H
Pylori as well. Just thinking about putting
the cruciferous veggies with the tomato and garlic I thought Gas! Does not mean I dont appreciate or like your answer

I appreciate any and all answers that I have received here on LymeNet and am very thankful
to everyone.

By the way I did give up the Coffee a while
back. Mom was saying that in jest as I was a walking zombie without the coffee.

Just trying to maintain a sense of humor through
all this and since you joke around I did not
think my message would have offended you the
way it did. So sorry!
