Okay, well, now it's happened twice, so I figured I'd post something about it here...in the event someone else can take advantage of this:

I have BC/BS personal choice high option insurance, and I get my prescriptions filled at CVS pharmacy.

Anyway, I went to pick up my generic ceftin the other day and was told it was free. Zip.

Honestly, it was the end of a long day. I didn't really question it and just drove on home. But later in the week, I was picking up generic wellbutrin. Free again. This time I mentioned something to the pharmacist and was told generics are free in February.

Now, I'm not sure if that's a CVS thing or BC/BS. Not accustomed to anything free from either source, but I'm looking tonight for any other generics I can get filled this weekend to take advantage of this.

Thought I'd let folks here know...just in case...

Andie

Yahoooo, Andie!! Don't look a gift horse in the mouth.
I am coming to your CVS, 'cause the one in Illinois that we use sure isn't coughing up anything for free in Feb. Not even generics.

Good for you!

i have bc/bs and went to walmart. i had several prescriptions and i asked about this. i was denied because (1) made too much money (2) i had insurance.

i told them i would pay out of pocket and they still denied me.

so for me, it didn't work.
