You're right.. I don't know the abbrevations for Mass and Misouri.. so shoot me! HA!

[Razz]

Anyhow..

Do you have Lyme disease in your state? If so..

How about getting with the program here and making a few calls? Yes.. folks adore my tactful ways of saying things... ha!

So far you have ZERO Congressmen signed on the the Federal Bill as a co-sponsor. There are other states too.. but I couldn't list them all.

We only have about half of what we had last year.. basically because we don't have folks calling and asking them to do it!

It isn't hard at all. You don't even have to read the bill cause they aren't going to drill you on it.. but I do suggest you at least review it for your own piece of mind... you know.. that itty bitty piece of mind we all still have left.

[Big Grin]

SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS:

Pick up the phone... when they say this is Congressman's ___________ office... say hello.

Then simply say... "I am calling to see if you have signed on to the Lyme disease bill as a cosponsor."

They will say.. do you know the number of the bill?

You say- "yes, it is HR 741." And they will say, "hold on, let me check."

When they say no..

Say, I am calling to see if you will. I am making a report back to patients across the state and need to know if you will be signing on as a co-sponsor and when that may be.

Then let them take it from there... but be sure to write down the name of a contact person so you will have it later.

In 3 days.. when they haven't called back... call them again. Do the same thing. But first say, "I haven't heard back from your office and I am calling to find out if you have signed onto the Lyme disease bill."

Repeat process until they say yes.

When you get one to confirm they did... PLEASE come tell us!!!! We all need good news!!

[woohoo]

To see a REAL handy dandy list of who to call.. go to the site below and click on your state.

To see a list of all states so we can say ... nah nah nah nah nah... click on the first word.. UNITED STATES.

Anyone want to DO their state?

Let me know!!!

I think, MA is Mass and MO is Missouri (which I cannot spell, apparently.)

I'll call my Congressman's office, tomorrow, and see how that goes, ok? I do have a contacts name but kind of freeze on the phone. [Eek!]

They have contacted me before from letters I wrote. (Shame I didn't remember what letter it was and had to ask. *blushes* I just winged, wung, whatevered... it.)

I expected him to already be on there; he's cosponsered Lyme bills in the past.

Last year I was working on my senator and was about to start on congresswoman and she didn't get re-elected. Darn!

She had been in for years and was very compassionate and a open minded person. The new congressman has a plate full of....I don't know what is on his plate???

I was working by email but the work by phone looks to be easier.

Thanks, Pam

OK..

Put on your red dress mamma, we're going out tonight!

I just got a call and our LAST Congressman just signed on to the federal bill!

100 percent!!!

[woohoo]

[woohoo]

[woohoo]

Yes.. You get THREE woo hoo's when you get 100 percent.

One woo hoo per Congressman otherwise!

Sooooo.. you old corn fed MO mule.. what news have ya got for me? And YES.. I was looking for you! Of course I knew it was MO for Missouri.

But I KNOW how bad you can't stand mis-spelled words and stupidity and all.. being a teacher. So I set you up!

HA!

True and bubbabear are hitting Florida I see. GOOD for you!!! Lots of them there!!! Go for it!!!

And Lymeout.. thanks for doing VA!!! A MUCH needed state!!!

Gen... good to see you are thinking about others!!! Do let us know what is up.. ok?

And map.. sorry they didn't come back to office. BUT... aproaching it the way I did.. not a lot of time is spent on any one office.. compared to other ways of doing it. MAYBE that will make it easier for you?

Any others want to give it a shot? Either that or call the pied piper to have them run the ticks out of your state!

I talked to our congresswoman about a month ago. She is a customer of ours. she said she would ask Chris about the bill. Not sure I believed her as I swear I saw her eyes roll back in head and horns come out as I was talking to her.

PLL,

A follow up call to her office MIGHT just get her STAFF involved.. and we pretty much have realized after going through all this... who does most of the work!

Then they will be calling you saying..

"Amy, what you wanna do
I think I could stay with you
For a while maybe longer if I do...

And I'll vote with YOU!"

Hey... gotta sing a song here and there, Pure Praire League... and dance!

[Big Grin]

Yoho rolling stone.. good for YOU! Good to see you are not gathering any moss.

Lettuce no what happens!!!

Ha, now I'm singing with TC. (everyone hold your ears!)

I just spoke to my Congressman's office and they are checking into it. He hadn't yet but they believe he will.

We both knew he has cosponsored Lyme legislation before.

I think I'll call another since they didn't even ask if I was in their district. [Smile]

(I called 2 more but have to wait to stop shaking to do more, k? This is not my forte. [Roll Eyes] )
