Just found a tiny tick that has probably been attached for almost 24hrs. [Mad]

I am on the plaquenil+clindamycin/plaquenil+biaxin rotation.

Called my LLMD office to ask what I should do but the office is closed today and won't be open till Monday...then I just realized that there are no refills on my plaquenil and I run out tonight. [shake]

I have six 100mg Doxy left in a bottle from 10 months ago....so am thinking of taking one doxy twice a day starting tomorrow (Sat.) then calling LLMD office Monday morning.

What do some of you think?? [confused]

Any new keets that may have entered you body with this new bite are going to hit some pretty high blood levels of abx.

Plaquinel is a pretty harsh medicine and won't totally leave you body by Monday.

If you are really worried, page your Dr.

If it was me, I wouldn't worry, but would celebrate that the new
keets are meeting a rapid assault!

Do whatever you need to do to have a worry free weekend. Remember lyme loves stress, so iliminate as much stress abt it as you can.

I wish you well!

Recently had the same experience, only my LLMD"s office was open. Since I'm already on abx LLMD said we would just watch and monitor for any new symptoms.

I thought I might have the tick tested for co -infections, but LLMD said unless I had money to burn it was not worth it.

Take Care,
Carol

Did you save the tick? If so, and you kept it alive you can have it tested.
