If you go to seeking and you see a post in your area has already been answered-- PLEASE send the seeker your advice on the local Dr you know about.
Nothing beats first hand experience with a Dr! as opposed to one of us on another Coast giving a name off a list....just my .02
I would want to know, wouldn't you?
You and betty are RIGHT ON!!!

Meg,
Great idea you posted: "If you go to seeking and you see a post in your area has already been answered-- PLEASE send the seeker your advice on the local Dr you know about." ----------------------------------------- ALSO - a person seeking a doctor can call a local lyme support group for others' experiences.
If there is no local group, call one in a town nearest to you or one with a friend or relative - if you find a LLMD, you might be able to visit them and have a place to stay. Traveling to see a doctor, staying in motels, is very hard. But, if necessary many of the LLMDs have a page for hotels that usually are more careful with cleaning chemicals or offer a discount to patients. local lyme support groupPosts: 48021 | From Tree House | Registered: Jul 2007

Hi everyone, I am a newbie to this site, but not to being ill! I was just dxed with Masters (or STARI) and am receiving treatment, finally!! I have been seeing a LLMD in Mo. if that will help anyone. My energy levels are really low right now , but if I can help I definitely want to!!
