What would you make of a negative ELISA and positive IGG Western Blot(6 pos. bands)?
Is this active Lyme? Is it only showing past exposure? Or is this a later stage of Lyme?

It means you need to see a LLMD and dicuss any current symptoms and treatment.
Negative Elisa means nothing.
I know the recommendation to treat is based on either IgM or IgG Lyme specific bands.
Do you still have Lyme symptoms?

Yes. Hypercoagulation, Inflammation, Disorientation at times, Word loss, Severe Fatigue, Breathlessness.
LLMD wants to do triple abx therapy, but the pharmacy refused to fill one of the scripts saying 4 weeks was too long. Pharmacy filled only enough for 3 days. Pharmacist counseled me that 3 different abx was way too much and each one too high dose & and way too long. Gave me speech about dangers of abx.
Monday, I've got to let the dr. know what the pharmacist said.

I would go to a different pharmacy. He is going to give you more trouble later. You need a pharmacist who will work with you to get meds approved in the future. My pharmacist has pushed my insurance company in my behalf.
In the presence of symptoms, IgG is considered a positive test. I am being treated on an IgG postive WB. I am responding to treatment.
It's good to be hitting the Lyme hard and from all angles. Your LLMD is not wrong prescribing the meds. I can't believe your pharmacists wouldn't respect the prescriptions.

I just thought of something ... the one for three days was Zithromax, right? It was probably your insurance company requiring preauthorization.

No, the one for 3 days was Tinimadax (sp). The one not covered is Biaxin XL or XR and then other one which was filled was Omnicef.

Is it the pharmacist giving you the trouble or your insurance company? Some meds require preapproval ... so far I've not had a problem, it just takes some time.

The pharmacist spoke broken English and it was difficult to understand. In fact, I didn't realize the script was only filled for 3 days until I got home.

Well, I had a small local pharmacy water down my Mepron.
I went to CVS and it was okay ... it was when my regular pharmacy (Kroger) was out of Mepron (I knew CVS had it because a friend of mne with Lyme goes there).
My pharmacist has helped me get approvals more quickly by pushing my insurance company. Also, he's been able to answer questions I've had.
So, yes, I think that one pharmacy can be better than another ... especially if you don't know why you only got three days, why you didn't get one of your meds, and you got a lecture on the dangers of abx!
I appreciate your pharmacist's concern, but it doesn't sound like he was much of a help ... not that it will be easy to find one who will. I was just lucky ...
