Hi all,
How long can Mepron take to work? I have been on it 2 WEEKS with Azithromycin, and I have not really felt anything, sometimes I feel worse, my EMF is not better, the
EMF sensitivity, is Babesia, and got SO much better on the Clindamycin and Quinine treatment for Babesia, but when I stopped the Clindamycin and Quinine, I had the relapse of Babesia 8 months later,
I thought MEPRON would be a wonder drug for me for the Babesia, which I tested positive for on 2 different Babesia tests at IGENEX.
My LLMD and my Dr said to give it longer, but I am upset because I am not getting better, and with the other Babesia treatment of Clindamycin and Quinine, I had immediate relief of the EMF sensitivity within ONE week.
I had lots of side effects though from this combo. so I am on Mepron,
I know some said to increase it, I cannot do this unless Dr says to. Even when the Quinine was at LOW dose, 1/2 cap, the EMF was better,
so maybe Mepron is not effective for me.
I have been on Orals for Babesia and Lyme for 30 months nonstop, and have had lyme for about 18 years, I started to treat 5 years ago,
here I am.
SO, is there anyone out there that had any MEPRON miracles where it took longer to work? please let me know,
I need some good news,
I ONLY became EMF and light sensitive OVERNIGHT, 2 years ago, it happened overnight while IN lyme treatment on oral antibiotics, and the LLMD at this time,
then said, that I should not be getting worse from lyme, so he said the EMF/LIGHT could be Babesia because I had not treated it,
So I treated Babesia back then, and the EMF got better but slowly, 6 months or so,
I am extremely ill with something, and this MEPRON is not making me better, ALWAYS drug combos have made me tiny better in 10 days, and each week better little bit
NOT Mepron, I am so out of it, sorry thanks,
Trish

Ever try Artemisia (or any of its derivatives)? It's a pretty effective drug - I have seen it work.

Artemisia is a good suggestion. My LLMD has seen Mepron work better with artemesia than it works alone.
I felt a tiny bit better right away on the Mepron, but that is not really saying much. I didn't herx until day 24. After each herx I felt somewhat better.
I'd give it more time.

That stuff stains your lips. I'll be joining you soon. I just know it.
Search MEPRON BUDDIES.
I think it took three months and bam I was herxing like crazy!!!!!!!!!! In retro spect (if that is even a word) It saved my life.
You are so fortunate that some medicines got you instant results. I think your doctor may be a good one especially if he or she is rotating diferent medicines.
Please beleive me. It takes time. Slow and steady will get you feeling better.
Feeling great today, Heather
