gout
carpal tunnel syndrome (sudden onset)
hypochondria (I think)
Hepatitis C
Hepatitis B
Does this count? From the doctor at the Student Health Service--"Ah, I don't know what you have but it's definitely something. Your symptoms are sort of like mono but your bloodwork is the opposite of mono. Come back so we can draw more blood to check."
The blood checks went on for weeks and weeks until my then-beau said, "Don't you realize they're experimenting on you--your blood? Maybe you'd get better if they stopped sucking all your blood!" (I stopped giving blood every few days and I did get better! The fatigue and pounding head went away. Babs? Lyme? This was 1975-76 at the University of Minnesota.)

At age 10, possible juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. Knee problems at at 12, was told by the specialist that it was from growing and that your knees haven't fused together just yet.

Mono at 17, which took me longer than most to get over. Raynoids by 19. Boarder line lyme by 22 and treat for a month.

After a month told I had fibro. From 22 to 33 the headaches and illnesses got worse. 33 treated for Fibro.

Finally by 39 treat properly for lyme

I was diagnosed with MS. I never saw a psych. but at that time I could have easily been diagnosed with mental illness. I like to call it my "early, squirrelly Lyme daze". Every pun intended.

Here's a few more obscure ones..for my adolecent

kids, wrong diagnosis...before lyme. They also had most of the other symptoms described by

others as well.

Osgood Slater Disease (knee growing pains in teens)

Exercise incuded asthma (diagnosed in teens after years of successful high level sports with no prior asthma)(after lyme treatment, is now gone!)

Thyroiditis: very high for one month,(with goiter) and then very low afterwards, now normal.

Lymphma

Vocal Cord Dysplacia: losing voice, trouble swallowing ;and breathing. (cannot sing now)After lyme treatment, is is now normal.

Pleurisy (sharp pains under ribs n lungs/chest, breathing problems )Came with bronchitis...

Plantar Faciatis (foot bone spurs)

Vasovagal syncope disorders: low blood pressure, the vagas nerve is irritated. Pass out when kneeling at church...

Also called : Orthostatic intolerance, Neurally Mediated Hpotension, the opposite of Tachycardia syndrome...(diagnosed by tilt table test)

Bradyarrhythmia (slow heart rate)lithargy

Sick sinus syndrome (heart pacemaker maybe suggested).

Reactive hypoglycemia (endurance athletes)

Innatentive ADD symptoms....spacy and cannot concentrate at certain times...in certain situations...not all the time. Not hyperactive. In a usually bright kid...not a challenged kid. This says that something else is causing this.

Extremely tight muscles and stiff neck.

Air hunger
