Okay, so I got Lyme late last August. I had a definite positive test, and although I never found a tick on my body, I am pretty sure I started medicine within a week after getting bitten (though for all I know, I could have had it for much longer than that). I was on Doxy for 7 weeks, and had a Herx. Then I was on Tetracycline for 3 weeks (stopped early due to allergic reaction), and had a herx. Then I was on Biaxin & Ceftin for 4 weeks, but didn't have a herx. By December I felt 100% better and continued to feel that way until March, when my right eyelid started drooping.

My Dr. (Dr. P in CT) said the drooping was thanks to the Lyme, so I was on Biaxin & Ceftin for 5 weeks, but I had no herx. After that I started having joint pain again, so now I've started Mepron & Zithromax. I've only been on it for 5 days, but my Dr. said there's usually a big herx with mepron, and he also expected me to get a rash, because he thinks the rash happens when the lyme cysts are busted.

Anyway, I'm confused because I haven't had a herxheimer reaction since the tetracycline, back in probably around October. Are there other people with Lyme who don't get bad herxes? I try to stay as active as I can, and so far I'm still able to go running when my joints don't hurt. I thought that having a herx showed that the Lyme was getting busted, so although I don't desire a herx, at least when I get them I could tell the Lyme was being fought off.
