Maybe it's me? I had an appt. with a doctor in Texas on the 19th.

It went wonderfully!! I can't say enough good things about my experience.

Dr. W. seems to really know his stuff. He is super nice and made me feel really hopeful. Says he's confident that I will get completely better!

He even showed concern for my son. I wasn't going to bring my son up since I didn't think he would want to discuss that during my appt., but Dr. W. brought it up. So I got to tell him all of my concerns about my son too.

It was a long day. I had to make it a one day trip because my husband had to go to work the next day. So we drove 5 hours there, went to the appt., and drove 5 hours back. Whew! But the drive really wasn't that bad. It was worth it.

I was very impressed with the doctor and his staff. Everyone was so nice. Dr. W. ordered co-infection tests. I'm very anxious to know if any of them come up positive.

He put me on very high doses of amox and doxycycline. I'm already herxing a little which is a good feeling for me.. well sort of. It means the abx are doing their job. [Smile]

thank heavens. i was worried about you.

did he say anything about getting overloaded with lymies? unfortunately or maybe fortunately for some, i have been recommending him to everyone...

he said that right now he has over 50 lyme patients and they're numbering more than his regular ob/gyn patients i think. his nurse sid they are coming from all over to see him.

i know he's getting pretty dang busy.

i would hate to see him have to cut back....

he put me on flagyl, biaxin, and levaquin. but i think i've had it a looong time.

one thing fer sure -- he ain't squeamish about prescribing.....

now i've got to tell him about yeast!!

did he give you anything for yeast? diflucan or nystatin....cause i've definitely got yeasts problems now.

Sorry it took me so long to respond..

Wow, I didn't realize he has that many patients. I hope he doesn't get too overwhelmed.

When I was getting my blood taken the lab tech said that she has noticed a lot of patients of his getting blood taken.

BTW, do you know how long it takes to get the results back from the blood tests? I'm very anxious to get the results.

He put me on a lot of meds too. I'm taking 3,000 mg. of amox and 400 mg. of doxy. I think it might make the difference for me though. Before I always took smaller dosages and maybe it just wasn't enough.

No I didn't get any diflucan. Luckily I do have some refills left from my local doctor.

Anyway, thanks for asking about me. [Smile]

Lauren, you probably don't need diflucan yet. Get a good probiotic and that should do the trick, unless you already have yeast issues.

Many here, including me, use Theralac. You can get it only at www.theralac.com.

Good luck with your tx.
