For me if I dont take it I get terrible sleep. BUt when I take too much I get flat and depressing thoughts the next day unless I drink lots of coffee.

I dont know whats worse. I want to sleep.

Xanax
Ambien
Robaxin
Benadryl
Lyrica

All these I take. I should be out!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey!

yea, it was helping me with my ridiculous nightmares until recently. I thought my gorey dreams had been 'cured' thanks to this stuff.

also, I wasn't AS achey. I actually posted a little bit ago on how wonderful i thought lyrica is.

I've had two horror nightmares in the past few days, even when i took lyrica.

either way, i'm afraid not to take it...
So, I suppose I'm getting a little dependent on it,

mainly for the fact that i'm at least not having those nightmares nightly.....

also, it's VERY hard for me to wake up in the morning; not like that's really a new thing, but i don't even hear the alarm in the morning (I have 3) [Roll Eyes]

Dear Friends,

Any drugs/medications eat up B vitamins, leaving a person prone to nightmares, insommia, lying awake thinking, etc.

B complex vitamins (or Brewer's Yeast) plus calcium/magnesium in a liquid, acidified form like A to B Calm can turn this around--quickly!

For getting off psychiatric drugs, see http://www.theroadback.com for data on how to safely wean yourself off them. Yes, they are physiologically addicting, and can cause serious side effects if you cut back too fast.

Best,

Cass A

Lyrica is not addictive....you can get off of it in a week according to the prescribing information. How much do you take?

Maybe if you skip a dose you feel this way b/c you are supposed to cut down gradually. But this drug is not like a benzo.

I only take 75mg at night, none during the day. I use to take it 3x a day. I had no trouble getting off. I even stopped taking it at night for a month, but couldn't sleep worth a dern.

I take Lyrica along with Xanax to sleep. It really helps a lot. Can't sleep good with just a xanax, has to be the combo.
