I found this article regarding Grapefruit Seed Extract being a very powerful cyst buster.

http://www.siv.no/webpro/dokument/564000_Citrosept.proof.pdf

Very interesting!

Thanks for giving this its own thread.

I've heard about this for a while now but I really like to see good articles like this.

Thanks for posting the article. I have been taking grapefruit seed extract for months now, hoping it was breaking up those cysts....

I would be interested in seeing more responses too.... especially from those who have something to add (sorry I just started taking it based on some suggestions and not wanting to take flagyl or tini. so I don't have much to add here)

thanks!

But I swear I read something last year about it only being effective
due to the presence of a toxic preservative.

so, if we are taking ones without the toxic preservative (which of course we need to take only these) then it does not act as a cyst buster?

I read about the so-called preseravtive too. I used 3 brands, including the one claimed by some study about the preservative.

However, I have a microscope so I know GSE did appear to kill the pathogens in a blood smear of my blood.

BUT....I read somewhere, sorry, forgot where, actually I ran across the claim that citris seed does not absorb into the blood, if thats true...then my test would be pointless, and the GSE wouldnt work...if it dont absorb past the intestions. I did use GSE for a few weeks, and did check my blood daily and didnt see any effect...but thats just an interpetration, and also I was taking other drugs/supliments.

I did see GSE kill on a blood smear...but if it dont absorb..it cant work.

James,

I found this link to its uses and it claims:

"Grapefruit seed extract has been tested and proven by universities and countless laboratories throughout the world to be at least 10 times more effective than Colloidal Silver, Iodine and Clorox Bleach. Without the toxicity and high cost of commercial household cleaners".

In your opinion, you think this is accurate or totally bogus?

If there is some credibility, how much would one take? I currently take 500 mg of Pure and dont see much of anything, unless more symtoms is a clue.

It certainly didnt help candida like orgeamax does.

My LLMD gave me a drink with grapefruit seed extract in it, since I was so dehydrated they couldn't jab me with the needle to draw blood.

For days afterwards I was lethargic, and kept smelling things that weren't there... salty smell in particular. I'm convinced that stuff was doing something!

What does IDSA say about that photo of the lyme cyst since they say cystic lyme doesn't exist? I guess they think it's a UFO or something.
