Or do you know of anyone it cured?

At one point there were about 30 people on this board in varying stages of the Cowden protocol, with some reporting progress, but it appears everyone abandoned it.

Can anyone recommend doing the full six months or more of it?

Thanks.

I think it's worthwhile.

I think Buhner is less expensive - it came to around $3.50 a day while on the full protocol, which you are on for 2 months and then you cut back. I checked out the Cowden herbs and they were expensive, but I did not compare.

Just something to think about while you wait for more answers. [Smile]

I got better results from Buhner, though there were still some Cowden herbs I took with the Buhner.

I love the parsley/burbur from Cowden.

I also liked the Banderol.

I am not on either protocol now ....

It has been around a few years , but I have not heard any noteworthy success stories . My impression is that the herbs with Buhner's protocol are more potent and have more science and documentation behind them. I am very suspicious of the paltry info supplied on the Nutramedix overpriced herbs . Almost nothing to base an opinion on to fight a formidable disease . And they keep adding and adding to the " protocol " .

I have never heard of one cure personally , nor have I read a testimony . Just my point of view .

Did any protocol "cure" anyone?

I know MANY people that have done very well on the Cowden protocol.

Dr. H on the East Coast reports 70% of patients have good results with the protocol.

I think it is one of the best protocols that there is and it is very well planned and outlined for the patient.

Handles many aspects of treatment such as killing bugs, heavy metals, parasites, viruses, thickness of blood, sleep, etc.

Be well,
Scott

I was donated a 6 month supply of the Cowden Protocol this year.

This year is the best I have done so far with treatment.

I also was donated supplements, xango, ion foot detox and added back abx about the 3rd month of the program.

ON the 4th month I was able to count to 30. Before that I was counting to 10 three times.

I also had enough brain fog to lift to know I was on the 4th month. By, the 5th month I was able to print out what products I should have received.

And the chart.

Noticed 2 products were ommitted. Contacted lyme doctor's office and was told they ommitted it on purpose.

Waiting to see if I will get month 6 of it or not.

May have had 6 months of it. Got confusing because I went 4 weeks between orders twice due to mix up with staff at doctor's office.

Concerned about how I will do without it.

I really like taking drops instead of pills.

And the fact it covers adrenals, detox, virus, bacteria, fungus, etc.

I also started reservetrol for bart this year.

One person on this web site is sending me the products she did not use.

If anyone else products they are not using, Please consider sending them to me.

I too liked the banderol.

Had to cut back on the cumanda. would most likely not take it if I were purchasing it or if I knew if that sick feeling is worth it or not that I got whenever I took cumanda.

Especially like the amitilla (sp). Life was more even with it. Started getting the ups and downs while I was out of it.

The research I have done kind of goes along with what I experienced personally.

It is not just one program but both abx and herbs and supplements.

i got really weak being off abx for 3 months and supplements.

I could not do my short walks in the woods, etc.

Once I started back on abx and supplements things improved.

So, just being on Cowden alone the first 3 months did set me back and some old symptoms started returning.

I am very thankful for the opportunity I had to take it.

Improvement:

Able to take a stand up shower.

Able to put dishes in dishwasher or take dishes out almost once a week for about 10 min while on feet.

Able to walk in forest 10 to 15 min...still trying to come up with a routine on this so I don't over do it and then miss several days.

Able to do laundry almost once a week. 2 loads.

But, not able to put laundry away yet.

Able to get Rosie out 3 times a day to toilet.

Started going down hill when car was broke too and only using power chair to get her out.

Things improved once car was fixed and I was back to walking in forest again.

Multi tasking improving, but still a long way to go.

Able to ride in senior van to grocery store in power chair without having to put on ear muffs or feeling like I was going to throw up from movement and noise for the most part.

Sleep was good for a while. Then started having trouble sleeping through night.

Then sleeping two nights, and then up all night..last night was ? Guess I slept.

But, also taking a generic sleeping pill that works and then doesn't work.

I think the amitilla helps with sleep.

STopped 5HTP to help with sleep. Learned it was what was causing the bad dreams and I wasn't getting my sleep consistantly.

I hear a year of the Cowden Protocol is recommended. I would really like to try 6 more months of it if I had the funds.

I also started going down hill when water therapy stopped.

Looks like I might be able to start up water therapy again the first of the year. Waiting to see if it is funded for me.

Less pain in body now unless I over do it...which doesn't take much.

Less pain in the body if I have water therapy.

I've only used 4 products from the Cowden Protocol. Burbur did nothing for me. Cumanda did very little.

But I have made more progress in the last while on Samento (3 months) & Quina (5 weeks) than I did on 2 years of antibiotics and previously 1 year of Salt/C.

I find these 2 very powerful with brutal herxes BUT definitely progress is being made and for that I both thankful and hopeful!

I also wanted to add that I don't have the ups and downs while on the Cowden Protocol. big and very good.

Life is more consistant and predictable.

They have helped me although I was feeling pretty good when I went on them (switched from abx).

I notice my head is so much consistently clearer than its been in years.

It takes feeling better to even know what all of your symptoms were!

It takes a long time but you will get there!
