Bravo! Thanks for sharing. How many years did you have Lyme and how many months of treatment did it take you to reach this point? Was Germany the turning point for you?

Cheryl Sue, I have had Lyme for 35 years, was undiagnosed until a little over 2 years ago. The symptoms would come and go over the years with three times prior to this being very ill.
This latest major flare up started about 5 years ago, three years of looking for what was wrong. Twenty months of abx. Stopped to switch to herbs once and crashed, then stopped again last Aug to go to Germany and crashed.
I did see improvement on abx, but yes, Germany was the turning point. It was the German treatment that enabled me to get off abx and get better.

I'm SO happy for you, that's wonderful! Are you still treating your daughter (s)?? How are they doing??

Asus, I did the Bionic 880 treatment in Germany. My blog is sixgoofykids.blogspot.com and there are several threads on it here .... the most informative is probably the one that is about 25 pages (you don't have to read the whole thing!).
Thank you Ocean! Two of my daughters treat about once per month or so. One is supposed to be treating more, but she feels good and she forgets. She is supposed to be treating bartonella as she's finished treating borrelia. But I think her way of treating when she feels she needs it might be working for her.
Everyone is healthy.

Sixgoofykids,
This is AMAZING news. Do you feel that you had the co-infections totally under control before making the trip to Germany?
I know that they say it's for LYME and you need to buy the machine to treat the rest at home.
In any case, this is such an inspiration to read. I did follow your blog while you were in Germany and have learned so much from all of you that have made the trek.
Are you taking any herbs of any sort at this time? Welcome back to "LIFE". Way to Go!!!!

No, my coinfections were not under control. I actually did not stop the antimalarials for the babesia until two weeks before my trip to Germany because the babs comes back so quickly for me (and it did).
The symptoms for the co's got much better though when the Lyme got treated. Then I treated the co's since I've been back.
I am now taking some supps, but not killing herbs. I recently wrote a complete list of what I'm taking on my blog.

Wonderful news six!!! I'm so happy for you.
From what I gathered, your health took a big dive and lyme surfaced and wouldn't leave when you got the moldly mattress in 2003.
I know it's not possible to know for sure but do you have an idea of how much improvement is related to getting rid of the moldy mattress and how much is related to the use of the Bionic and the trip to Germany? I'm wondering because these events happened so close in time to each other.
As far as I can tell, mold exposure seems to also have been the beginning of my last big decline in health. Same situation for my sister.
Thanks for any insight, Terry

Terry, they did happen close together. My bed ended up having common household mold (like what you get in your shower). I think it did play a part ..... but I did some research and found that my first try at a doctor for my health problems was before my mold exposure (air hunger). I think any toxic exposure like that can be a contributor, but based on how things progressed while in Germany, I'd say my primary problems was Lyme and Co.
I still need to tear out my bathroom because there is mold there ..... I expect it to be the same common mold the bed had. Not the same as sleeping on it, but it is still a constant exposure and is right off my bedroom.
So, no way to tell for sure how much of a role my bed played, and I certainly got sicker after my first doctor's visit and after I got the bed .... definitely contributed especially considering my detox reaction when I got rid of it, but how much? I'll never know for sure. Good question.

Hello sixgoofykids:
WE have emailed in the past, when I lived in Alabama. I think we were seeing the same llmd in Louisianna. I still see him, but not completely happy there.
I also have three daughters with chronic lyme/babesia. And as for my fight with these infections, I am slowly loosing the battle. Little by little, my body can't handle the meds, and I'm reversing in health.
Did I say I live in Switzerland now. I have made myself an appointment with the Lyme Clinic in Germany. IT is about 3 1/2 hours from my apartment, and my husband is going to go with me to check this place out. I think they have "bionic."

Hi Mary in Switzerland! Here is a link to where I went. http://www.drwoitzel.de/seite4.htm I'm sorry to hear about the decline in your health.
I know the doctor I saw gives talks at medical conventions on the Bionic and Lyme treatment, so there very well may be other doctors who use his protocol. I glanced at the website you posted .... the doc I went to does not use any antibiotics, so the treatment must be somewhat different.

Good to hear you are doing well, 6!
I do think this protocol or an adaption of it is the way to go if the drugs fail.

Air Conditioners are a big source of mold issues. They need to be cleaned inside by hand every couple years.

Good going Six! I'm going back to visit in the fall - maybe we can have a reunion? Class of 08?
My husband has a business trip to Austria and it seems just too close not to head to Dobel/Pforzheim.
