I'm on Quinine-just upped from 1 tab to 2 daily....but the thirst is so extreme and the bitter taste just awful...have others experienced this on Quinine??

Hi Elaine, sorry I don't have an answer for you but I was wondering...I thought quinine was not available in the US. I haven't started tx for babs so I might be wrong.

Yes, I think you are correct,it is no longer available as a generic in US, but you can get brand Qualaquin which my pharamcist in NY tells me is hugely expensive....not sure if insurance would cover it.

I am actually in Ireland (LLMD in NY!!!), so i get it here in 300mg tabs. It costs about $25 for 30 tabs here.
