I'm new to this site. Doctors still roll their eyes if I mention that I believe my condition stems from having the Lyme Vaccine and treat me as if it's just Fibromyalgia. Is there a definitive Test? I still suffer from joint, muscle, fascia pain, brain fog, inflammation years after the vaccine that I feel has ruined my body. Would like to talk to others who have had the Lymerx vaccine and are still suffering the consequences.

Wendy,

The book Cure Unknown discusses the Lyme vaccine and its effects on people. You might find some good information there.

I had the lymerix vaccine around 2000 - 2 doses. I know i had symptoms after that, but I also had tick bites so it is hard to say- I had an Igenex test showing other positive bands that were not in the vaccine, so I know i got infected after having the vaccine.

Anyway, I want to say that I treated for lyme for a couple of years and am better- 95% (still have some ear symptoms that I can't seem to resolve).

Have you been tested by Igenex? you may have been infected by a tick on top of the vaccine. Also, have you tried treating lyme? For me, that made all the difference.

I will have to look through my records to see if I was tested by Igenex. Are there more than 1 test? Thanks Maureen2172.

WEndy,

I'm so sorry that you've had problems since getting the vaccine! What a nightmare!

I remember last fall when I was reading a lot about Lyme just before getting formally diagnosed, I read something from a forum about a guy who had the vaccine when he was 30.

He is debilitated now, can't work, can't live, is afraid to have a child with his wife in case the child is sick, ect.

It broke my heart. It's bad enough being sick for a long time knowing a slimy tick bit me and made me sick...but getting sick DUE to a faulty vaccine would drive me bonkers!

FDA in full glory.

I hope you find some answers.

Are you treating lyme now? Like I said, I had the vaccine and got so much better by treating for lyme. Are you working with a LLMD?

I think there were two of the bands in the vaccine- I know band 31 and maybe 34???? (not sure though). Was wondering what bands are positive on your lyme blood work???

my understanding is IF you have a certain gene (HLA DR 4 AND ONE OTHER)
and you get the vaccine
then
you will have an autoimmune disease that cannot be cured by lyme tx

it will be a type of arthritis-muscle, bone, joint pain and inflammation

this is what i heard at a conference many years ago

i know there has been discussion about whether or not auto immune is real or just undiagnosed lyme

i'm not sure how much of this is still considered true

i am hla dr 4 and have arthritis but never got the vaccine

i have tried in the past to get those who took the vaccine to get together on lymenet-if you do a search maybe you will connnect with some of the others

There are many reports of jab related injuries in

rabies even 10 years post. I don't see why this one

would be any different. I talked with a researcher

12 years ago who told me he had found the

evidence 10 years post in dementia patients who

had the jabs for rabies. At the time there were

only 2 labs in the US who would even test for

such things. I know it does not compare but yes I

would say it is possible.

Thank-you everyone for getting back to me. It's given me a lot to think about. I will definitely look for a LLMD. I have spent years just trying to relieve the symptoms. Starting with Viox before it was taken off the market, Physical Therapy, Chiropractor, Neurologist, Accupuncture (That actually helped), plus many drugs. All doctors told me it was impossible to have all those symptoms from a lyme vaccine. I was told it was Fibromyalga. But with each dose of the vaccine I got worse until my body just went haywire. When it was taken off the market the red flag went up. I didn't know other were suffering like me. So I listen to the MD's and have been treating for fibromyalga thinking it couldn't have been lyme because I had the vaccine. I was trying to raise 3 teenage kids and get thought the day and night in constant pain with brain fog.

you're not alone

many with lyme (not vaccine) have gone thru similar stuff

we try to get the word out

i had my dogs get the vaccine for 5 yrs in a row because i really like my vet and she insisted it was a different situation than the ppl vaccine

after the 5th shot they were both paralyzed from the waist down for 24 hrs...i never gave them another shot and she stopped pushing ppl to get the shot for their dogs

Thanks everyone, I would love to talk to others who have had the lymerix vaccine and had similar reactions. But I need to get tested first to see where I stand. I will look into LLMD. ~Wendy

This post is a bit old and I was wondering if anyone else can share their experience. I also had the vaccine and tested positive for lyme (bands not part of vaccine). I have been treating for a little over a year and I am much better. But, I do think the vaccine caused autoimmune issues for me as well. Anyone else?
