I started Tindamax this week, still on minocycline, but stopped azith per doctor's orders.

I have been so tired I can hardly stand - want to lay down and read or sleep all the time, and now I am depressed too. Big crying jag last night and still feel down, off today.

Anybody experience this with TIndamax? I have been fatigued and sad with tears about having Lyme, but not this dread feeling.

Maybe this is just a herx since I also have big pain in my hips -- this was the primary symptom that sent me to the doctor in the first place.

Hi Judy,

I'm on Tindamax but I didn't notice any additional depression. The only side effect I had was a feeling like my throat was tight. Like I had something stuck in it (soft, like mucous). I wanted to clear my throat for about 2 weeks or less.

My guess is that your depression is from the general feeling of lousiness from herxing.

I have had episodes of deep dark depression that is inappropriate for the situation. I believe it is either herx related, or maybe just from the lyme.

Whenever I get lyme flares, I get pain in my hips and lower back too.

Good luck with the Tindamax. How much are you on?

James

I'm not on Tindamax but I too just changed treatment. I was on Doxy/zith but just switched to Amoxi/Probencid.

The reason your post caught my attention is that you're describing my same symptoms since switching meds.

Fatigue, depression, back/hip aching pain with restless legs and headaches.

Could be a herx. It's interesting that our reactions are so similar.

James - I am on 500 mg Tindamax 2xday

Thanks for the post -- I think the depression is maybe the herx -- I have this feeling that something is happening -- moving through.

I am on tindamax right now, and I definitely notice the fatigue.

I never really had that before the medication, so I know this is causing it. It's a weird fatigue for me cause I am exhausted but I can't sleep!

I also have arm pain, which feels like I worked out for hours.

Tindamax and especially flagyl put me into deep depression. UGH! It was awful!
