I'm about 6 days into Cumanda. Just taking one drop a day and herxing pretty fierce.
I remember getting super sick one winter. . I think the winter of 95 before I had my kids. Terrible pleurisy.
haven't been bothered by it since and now, I woke up with sore ribs on the left side. No headstand or handstands for almost 2 weeks, so it wouldn't be that.
I'm having a super hard emotional herx which I've been having often with the new herbal protocal and it is particularily bad today, but this rib pain has gotten more and more intense throughout the day.
Any suggestions? I'm stepping into the sauna now. . but I'll be back!

I'm really curious on the root cause of inflammation.
I know, I've been around for awhile, but I always ignore all the stuff about joint and inflammation issues because it is rarely an issue.
But I am in so much pain, I feel like I can't breath. In fact, at times I can't.
The family doc said the lungs sound fine, and it is probably more inflammation.
I've gotten it in the chest wall before but this feels like it is in the lungs, the ribs.
I can't turn my body much at all, can barely drive and need help getting out of bed.
For those of you who know me, you know that I can do serious yoga at least once a week. . and it is fatigue and nervous system issues. . and Bartonella emotions that are my biggest issue.
Could the Cumanda be doing this much? Could VIRUSES be causing the inflammation?
Hit me with what you got.

I have had this issue for years. I had multiple boughts of pnemonia as a teen. Some doctors diagnose it as plurisy or just say it is scare tissue in there that when inflammation increases from other illnesses or issues then the pain is felt all in the lining area of the lungs between the lung and ribs.
I have not had any x rays or exams show problems even when I feel so horrible and in pain.
I just take anti inflamatories and keep a diet that keeps inflmaation at its lowest.
Sorry.. for . no real answers.. But I can relate

peacemamma - sorry I can't offer any help to you - I'm quite new to Lyme myself but am getting quite an education here.
I have read alot about the physical side of herxing and know I had my first experience with this last week but I was unaware of an emotional aspect to herxing - I am very interested in hearing more about this - could you explain how you felt?
I was a complete and total emotional wreck for several days last week. I had a breakdown on Weds unlike anything I've ever known. But was fine again by yesterday. I see you mentioned Bartonella as your suspected cause for this. I highly suspect I am co-infected with Bart and was unaware this was a symptom but is sure would explain alot.
Hope you find the answers to your inflammation question!
