For some time now, I have noticed that each and every time I cry, which has been daily since that IVIG was given to me, many of my symptoms go away for a a few hours.

For me, my head clears almost to normal, my disequilibrium almost goes away completely, my mood changes to good (not the bi-polar type), even my POTS eases up considerably. Many of the aches and pains also subside.

I have heard of Emotional Herxes here and just curious if any of you get the clearing I'm talking about.

I have actually sat and thought of very sad things in an attempt to cry many times as it seems to detoxify my body a bit.

I have also read as of lately that tears contain toxins. This is true science.

BTW, I have taken everyone's advice and not doing anything right now trying to let my body calm down. The other night I was able to take my kids out to dinner and today I was out running errands for a good part of the day. Of course, all of this after I cried my eyes out earlier in the day.

Right now I don't feel too bad, which is quite unusual for me.

Thanks in advance,

LT

YES!!! This is something that I have noticed for awhile now. I can go from being completely foggy, dizzy, and in pain for days to near normal after a really good cry (it has to be where I am pretty much sobbing).

I've always wondered why this happened. Of course my therapist said it's because I am releasing bottled up emotions, but I really feel it is a physical thing.

Before I was sick and I would cry of course I would feel better...that is just the way it is. But this is way more then that. It's on a whole different level.

I'm interested if anyone else notices this too.

Mary

I too feel better when I cry. My husband tells me not to cry because I will make myself sick, but I told him that I actually feel so much better. It doesn't stop the pain I have but it definitely clears my mind. I guess we're crying toxins out.

The advice I give, should not be considered medical advice. My opinion comes from years of research and experience.

I never cry. I guess I'm not very emotional. Since I fell ill, I don't feel too much a lot of times. Maybe I'm the exact opposite. [Smile]
