I know Im doing nothing for my infection but whait,,, Im helping my nerves tremendouslly and Klonopin helps release HGH and adderall mixed with cymbalta increases endogenous opiods so who knows the truth.

I still follow caveman diet. But otherwise all this is helping 400%

Pain is down 60-70% Mental status is 300-400% better sleep is great.

Don't know if the psych meds you are on have this effect, but some of them are thought to work on biofilms and inflammation.

Does the cymbalta make you tired or give you energy? How much do you take?

I don't think a person will heal as quickly if there is pain either emotional or physical on an ongoing basis.

I think I have read with Dr B and Dr B the psyciatrist that they believe in using these drugs to help heal the brain and body.

Sometimes we make it harder on ourselves by not accepting the help available.

Glad you are doing better.

lymeherx,

Wowee, glad you feel so much better. I agree with B4Lyme that if we are in so much physical and/or emotional pain we can't heal well (or have much of a life, thank you very much).

I have questions:

You were getting help from piracetam, but it stopped working, is that right? How long did it help and at what dosage?

Did it take you a long time to ramp into these meds, and are you sensitive to meds? (I'm incredibly sensitive and can seem to tolerate next to nothing med-wise, unfortunately!).

Which med that you're on increases dopamine?

The cymbalta gives me energy and takes AWAY my pain. I take 80mg. I had to work up to it myself my psych at the time didnt believe in raising slowlly.

I had to open up the capsule to build myself up.

Piracetam worked cause I was taking mega doses. Then I started drinking at night on it. NOT A GOOD IDEA

I think I damaged my glutamanergic channels, the same ones that piracetam stimualte and acetylcholine which is used in memory.

Adderall also stimulates the brain but in a different way.

Piracetam was still by far the best. I felt like I knew everything!

adderall increases dopamine.

Piracetam doesnt but It gives you clarity of thought like no other. Plus there is no overdose with piracetam.

Dopamine is very important for motivation, organization and goal directed behaviour.

Did you mean that the piracetem damaged your glutamanergic channels, or the combo of that plus drinking?

And, by damaged your glutamanergic channels, do you mean that you had too much glutamate with the piracetam or the combo or what?

I ask, because I have been found to have too much glutamate many times on testing. I need to take something for the horrible fatigue and brain fog, but wouldn't want to contribute to increased gluatamate---which leads to increased migraines, insomnia, etc.

Are you at all sensitive to meds? Did you have to ramp up slowly to this?? Thank you.

now im about reducing excessive glutamate. Im doing that with Klonopin.

Staying away from aspartame, msg, stuff like that.

I think piracetam as a whole if your not a BIG drinker is 100% FINE.

In fact they did studies with is and there is no lethal dose. This is almost unheard of.

again the alcohol/piracetam hypothesis is my own. No doctor has ever heard of it. But it makes perfect sense!

As you can clearlly see, alot of my suffering was coming from lack of restoritive sleep.

The ambien and klonopin works great. (klonopin mostlly)

The triavil is an old antidepressant/antipsychotic and it eases my mind and works better then xanax, but I take it at night to bring down the adderall.

I feel like my muscles are much stronger and I wake in almost no pain, just a little stiff.

I was in SEVERE pain before these medications.

I expect them to work for a while or I am without hope again. thank God that Im actually benefitting from their overpriced chemical soups that they throw at me.

Im all about abx and treatment but the right abx and right treatment. This is very difficult for some especially having been as sick as I was for so long.

Im glad I went to a shrink instead of my LLMD. In fact my LLMD was happy for me!

I turns out I knew what I needed and the psych threw in the Triavil just to help and it does without alot of hangover.

Sorry to hear.

Does Levaquin help your fatigue? I have been wondering if it would help mine.

Good to hear it's working.

I will never resort to prescription meds though.

This topic is intersting---my doc prescribed temazepam for me for sleep

the only time I am pain free is the 4 to 6 hours after I take temazepam. Every evening like clockwork----30 to 45 minutes after I take it---burning skin & muscle twitches go away.

Must be something going on in the brain?

Hmm, the triavil is loosing its effect.

Perhaps Im eating too much with it at night.

Night eating is bad.
