I seriously can't believe I've been on abx for 2 yrs (yes, high doses and including cyst busters) and am experiencing a herx from GSE. I am using a lot (10 drops, 2-3x daily), but still wouldn't think it should have this much of an effect after that much time on abx.

Anyone else experience this?

Thanks,
V

It could be due to candida.

I could only ever take just a few drops, but I couldn't tolerate cyst-busters very well. Since you've taken cyst-busters, I'd suspect candida.

Sammy,

It's the Nutribiotic brand GSE. The drops. I had heard good things about this one.

Six,

Yes, I think that could be part of it although I take Diflucan every other day too. But I still think I have some yeast issues. Honestly though, Flagyl still causes me to herx after all this time too, so I guess it could be either cysts or yeast, or both!

I had the same experience w/GSE. According to their website, their GSE has been found to inhibit the growth of up to 67 different pathogens, including fungi, gram negative and positive bacteria, viruses, and some protozoans, including Giardia, so it could be killing an # of organisms.

VB,
In the last year I have been on all of the most common abx combos. I have always experienced the usual herx reactions, usually lasting 3-4 days.
One month ago I went off mepron/mino/flagyl and went on just mino/GSE.
Since that first week I have been the sickest since I started treatment. Had my LLMD appt. last week and told him how sick I was. Maybe something new was wrong.
Dr looked at me and smiled. Says sounds like you've been having the herx of a lifetime. Seriously, this has been the worst.
So GSE has definitely given me the worst herx ever, far worse than all the ABX trtmnt.
Hope this helps
Joan

Joan,

Thank you very much for telling me this. I am sorry you are feeling so badly, but it sure makes me feel better to hear that someone else has experienced this too. I went off of the GSE for a few days and started feeling better again, but now am back on it and am definitely feeling it!

I am glad to be killing things though. I truly do believe it is killing bacteria as I has a stomach issue for several weeks that would not go away and after 2-3 days on the GSE it was gone. Also, started getting a sore throat and within about 2 days of gargling with the GSE it was gone too.

I hope it works fast though because I want us all to get rid of this junk and move on with our lives. I don't mind herxing and feeling awful, but only if there is an end in sight!

How much are you taking? I am trying to do 10 drops 3x per day now. We'll see how long I can stand that.

V
