I've had the distinction between d's and t's disappear for a couple weeks. It's just the bugs playing and I think it's temporary.

The tip of my tongue is red and sore...actually the entire end/edge of my tongue has a red "U" around it. Not sure which bug this is, maybe even yeast?...because my tongue is often white when this occurs.

Yep, this was a very frequent symptom for me. Now it is extremely rare after treating with antibiotics since June 2008.

The majority of the time it would make a kind of sudden twitch right at the very end. I think sometimes it would be more pronounced, but that was rarer.

It was totally gone, but came back when I took a month break from antibiotics due to an unrelated issue. It happened while off the antibiotics, but went away after a few days back on them.

I know this topic has come up before here, but I don't know how easy it will be to search for the other threads about it.

At least you should know that you are not alone. It's weird and can be distressing when you don't know what's going on, but it is a neuro-Lyme/CNS Lyme/neuroborreliosis symptom.

I had some tongue "cramps" that felt like it might be TIA symptoms. My doctor tested me high for ammonia in my brain (heart and liver too). He put me on Jernigan's Neuro-Toxin ll and I haven't had this problem anymore. It's most likely (well in my case it was) related to toxins, most likely ammonia--my guess.
