I was having a problem with loose stools before starting antibiotics and now that I am being treated with antibiotics the loose stool problem seems to be getting worse. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to normalize this? I've tried bentonite and more fiber which helps a little but not enough. Does anyone have any remedies out there?
Thank you for any suggestions.
Happy healing.

Are you doing something to prevent yeast like nystatin or diflucan?
Many take probiotics off the shelf, other take a script of something...A good rule of thumb is take
it everyday. No matter what. I had several bouts of diarrhea and even stopped meds a day or two to
catch up but continue the probiotic. I cannot go without it. I had diarrhea for over a year before I found Lyme.

Florastor helped our daughter.
Last time we ordered it from Drugstore.com, as it was the cheapest.
Hope you feel better, Jane

High doses of probiotics are a must or you can get very sick w/C.diff or worst. Abx kill all good bacteria in the intestines and you need probiotics, good ones.
Get on Florastor or Jarrow saccharomyces boulardii AND VSL#3 or Theralac or Natures Way primadophilus optima.

I had loose stools (not diarrhea, they were just loose, not formed) for like a month straight after having some bad vegetables from Mexico....Bactrim DS fixed that for me, after just one or two pills. I'd stay on the Bactrim for a week to fix it for good though.
That's IF your problem could be from a bug you picked up. Worth a shot.
