My 14 year old is getting sore throat after sore throat. She started taking Zith about 10 days ago. First it made her throat feel kind of weird, tightening a little and itch and we thought it was an allergic reaction. Her LLMD wanted her to stay on and push through and see if it was a herx reaction. Well the tightness did cease and so did the itchiness, now she just has a sore throat that comes and goes but she has it every day. Before she was diagnosed, she used to get a lot of sore throats, could this be a HERX?????

I get a funny throat from herx. Feels maybe swollen or tight and a little sore. Enough to get my attention throughout the day but not like it's too painful to swallow.

Our daughter used to get alot of sore throats and ear pain, before Bart treatment.
So maybe your daughter is herxing--maybe from Bartonella.
I think she did complain of ear pain, sore throat, sinus issues when she was herxing earlier in treatment.
Hope she feels better soon.
