I need immediate response. I saw Dr. S in ny about 3 weeks ago, I was impressed, I also have been on the short wait list for Dr. H in NY for months.and got the call today that there was an appt. for Thursday..I have been infected with relapsing chronic Lyme for 27yrs, with a host of co infections and an aging body.
Sr. S. did some training with Dr. H, had my first new"patient" visit he took loads of blood work sent some on to labs in Germany and gave me some supplements . He was really good & spent over 2 hours with me... and astute observations and explained some things other MDs have ignored.
I have waited for Dr. H for more then 6 months, I couldn't take an app't last month was out of state..now this one I don't know what to do??? I would like one more app't with S, but I don't want to be cut off from getting in to see Dr. H (his PA). Desperate for input... Any advice??

Tough call on the timing. They will offer the appt to someone else (probably today)if you don't say yes.
Do you have the financial backing to have two 1st time appointments paid out of pocket? Also, Dr H office will most likely want to do their own lab work, which is not normally paid by insurance 100%.
the PA's are good and have worked with Dr. H for a long time. they usually consult him at the end of the 1st visit, if he is in the office, to make sure he concurs.

I have heard Dr. H. has a huge waiting list now, so if you would like to see him this is your chance.
Could you PM me who Dr. S. is?
I would see Dr. H. You can always go back to the other doctor if you want.
