hi, my health insurance is current amazing! It’s an HSA PPO and I am covered for everything. That being said, I am switching job and they only offer two options. A Kaiser HMO plan or a Health Net Health Net EOA 20 - Plan Code 1YV (Buy-Up Plan) Plan Code 1YV.
This plan is very confusing to understand. It’s like a HMO/PPO combo so some things are covered and some aren’t under the PPO.
For example you must go to a primary care physician to be referred and you can’t stay at a hospital under PPO but u can under the HMO. It’s very confusing.
Has anyone ever heard of this plan?
My other option is to stay on my HSA and pay cobra ($700/month) which is INSANE. I haven’t been to kaiser in a long time, any thoughts on kaiser SF? I am feeling pretty screwed at the moment..I could look into getting a private plan. Any ideas about PPO’s in CA for that?
