I have Lyme and moved from Washington DC to the Dallas area. I fly back to DC to get treatment.

I have crossed paths with an old friend from High School who is having some really severe, so far unexplained, neurological symptoms.

Of course I suspect the possibility of Lyme but have no idea where to send her in Dallas or even Texas?

Can someone PM me a list of LLMDS in the state?

Welcome to Lymenet! PM sent for TX.

Your friend needs to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!

They are far and few between, unfortunately. You need to go where they are.

Also, most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":

When calling for an appointment, have your riend ask if they have any cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in sooner to see a LLMD by doing this.
