I read your last post and you said you found a LLMD close to your home. Is he/she ILADS trained ?

You can request a LLMD through ILADS here ;

https://www.ilads.org/patient-care/provider-search/

You can request a LLMD through Global Lyme Alliance here ;

https://globallymealliance.org/education-awareness/find-medical-professional/

Please watch 'Under Our Skin' a documentary about the struggles Lyme patients face while trying to get diagnosised and treated for Lyme disease here ;

Research any doctor before becoming a patient. Your LLMD should follow these guidelines ;

I googled and found a Dr that claims to help and know about Lyme, but I'm wary about just assuming he really knows his stuff. I contacted him, but want to know if anyone in my area has actually seen a Doctor that they know and recommend. I don't have a ton of money to just pay and hope he can help me. I did go to my regular Dr and she ordered a TON of testing so even with that I hope I see some sort of answers and I'll go from there!

Many Infectious Doctors, Primary Care Physicians, Neurologists, and other main stream doctors will claim they treat Lyme disease. And they do. . .for 28 days (f your lucky) . . and ONLY if you have a positive Lyme Western Blot test. Then they will declare you cured, good-by.

Lyme tests are notorious for being flawed, missing up to 70% of Lyme sufferers.

You really need an ILADS trained Doctor.

Read this thread. Read every link posted.

http://flash.lymenet.org/ubb/ultimatebb.php/topic/2/13239

You must become your own health care advocate.
There's ALOT of homework.
Save all of your testing as this could save you money. Many LLMD's will diagnosis you clinically (by your symptoms) and also by reactive bands that show up on the western blot.

Let us know what your tests show. We will help you.

Anyone from Texas that can help Ishanda ?

There is a so-so Dr in Houston. She will only help if the test comes back positive.

Well that is sad to hear. I am worried that my initial tests will come back negative. I always expect the worst.

I believe that I've had this since childhood. Wouldn't they be hidden and undetectable at this point unless driven out?

Anyways, thanks I'll look into a female Dr. The one I found was a man, so at least there is more than just one option.

I had more bands show up one month after taking antibiotics. It's called an antibiotic challenge.

My test was never clearly positive, but I had hundreds of tick bites.
