Welcome to Lymenet Vanessa

You might want to edit your profile as to not include your real name as this is a public forum.

You can request LLMD’s through Global Lyme Alliance here;
https://www.globallymealliance.org/lyme-patient-support/find-medical-professional/

You can request LLMD’s through ILADS (International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society) here;
https://www.ilads.org/patient-care/provider-search/

These are simple e-mail formats that you fill out and they respond back with LLMD’s closest to your area. It is recommended that each LLMD be researched before committing to their practice. To do this, google for patient reviews or join your area’s Lyme Support groups.

Tennessee Lyme Support;
https://www.facebook.com/groups/344065058957221/

Lymenet members will help in anyway on your healing journey.
Your questions may be posted in open forum and a member will respond with their experiences.

Please utilize Lymenet’s ‘search’ function located in the middle of the home page. It contains an encyclopedia of Lyme patient’s first-hand experiences with treatments, general support, and successes over the past 20 years.

Wishing you well. I will send you a private message.

Welcome to Lymenet! PM sent for MO & IN.

I don't know of any LLMDs in TN.

You need to be evaluated and treated by a LLMD. Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!

A LLMD is one who has treated Lyme disease and the co-infections which come with it for many years and has gotten patients well. A good one will follow Dr. B's Guidelines, the "gold standard" for Lyme treatment.

Here is a link for them:

http://www.lymenet.org/BurrGuide200810.pdf

LLMDs are far and few between, unfortunately, so you need to go where they are. At least half of all Lyme patients travel out-of-state for treatment.

Also, most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":
http://flash.lymenet.org/scripts/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=2;t=025539;p=0

When calling for an appointment, ask if they have any cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in sooner by doing this.

Contact the TN Lyme Support Groups - they would know better about TN & might be able to help you.

Read the books written by the top LLMD, Dr. H, titled, "Why Can't I Get Better?" and "How Can I Get Better?". They are an excellent source of information.

Read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Get it at your local library or buy it used online.

View "Under Our Skin"

and "Under Our Skin2: Emergence"

Btw - I know you are new to Lymenet, but you should not use your real name, because this is a public forum with all sorts of people on it. Read this link about it:

http://flash.lymenet.org/scripts/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=2;t=011844;p=0

To remove your name from the signature line, click on "Edit Profile" under Lymenet Flash in the top middle section of the Lymenet page.

Click on "Edit Profile" on the left-hand side, scroll down to "Profile Fields" then down to "Signature". Make your changes, then click "Update Profile".

You would have to contact one of the moderators to change your username.

Not only is daily stress management critical, sometimes you need an extended break. Even staying in the hospital for a few days with someone else handling the care can be a welcome relief. Of course, a beautiful beach or a quiet mountain top is also an excellent place for a retreat! As we move into the more open phase of the pandemic, people are making travel plans again. The caregivers at senior care Cincinnati, serving Cincinnati, Ohio, offer respite care of all kinds - from a week of 24-hour care so you can get away for a few hours each day (or for a few days a week) so you can take care of yourself. Yourself and your household needs.
