I don't know about all of you, but I spend considerable time responding to people's requests for doctors etc. etc. When I look at my list of sent private messages, though, literally half of them are unread!
I'm sure that none of us feel well enough to waste time responding to people who don't even bother to get back to their messages. PLEASE check every time you are on LymeNet!

Marian, I do not think I am guilty of this in regards to you, but maybe others..sorry..But I get an email to my address at home each time I receive a pm, so don't always mark them as read on here..
And if I have forgotten to thank anyone, I am sorry..Do try to keep up with that when I am coherent..
Also hope you had a good time in Phila..lymemomtoo

Hi Marian, Just a head's up, but my PM's also end up in my email account. So often, if it's a message that does not require an immediate reply I only read them in the email. Though the truth is that it only takes a miunte to respond and we should all do so curteuosly. (but I must admit guilt on missing teh occasional reply, I think I may have even missed one of your early on, sorry!) That's what makes this wonderful support group work, give and take, ask and respond, please and thank you, etc. But your point is well taken. Be well all... Best regards, Kenny

I don't ever expect a reply with 'thanks'. Just want to be certain that the information that was emailed actually is being used by the person I sent it to, rather than sitting un-read in an email dump !

Where do we read private messages? Where on the page does it say where your messages are, if there are any?
Do we have a mailbox? Good gosh, I've been on here 2 years and didn't know there was one. I know we have that on our Canadian lyme site.

It would be a good idea to have someplace on the web page that says "Private messages are located on your profile page" It took me a little hunting to figure that out.

There is also a little flashing envelope and notice that says new message, this is right on the forum page, so you don't necessarily have to go to profile, just click on the envelope.

Marian,
You're one of the people who responded to my initial question about a LLMD in my area; I've always been grateful for that and it's something I remember whenever I see your posts to "check your message box."

CHECK THE TOP OF THE PAGE AND CLICK ON THE 'MY PROFILE' LINK. IF YOU'RE SIGNED IN, IT WILL TAKE YOU RIGHT TO YOUR PRIVATE MESSAGES (OLD AND NEW).

I have read all pm's you sent to me. I am so thankful as I am a newbie and didn't know what to expect w/ this forum. I hope you got my pm's thanking you- I had some trouble figuring the system out and I think I pm'd myself several times. Duh. I am unable to access my email account if anyone has emailed me. I'm going to change the address. Friday is my big day w/ Dr S!
