Pretty sure I have lyme disease and my doctor dosen't seem to think I do.(symptoms match about 25 of the posted symptoms and it started about a month after finding ticks one me) No rash, Not embedded. He won't even test me for it. He actually referred my to a shrink because I won't let this go. THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH ME.

Funny, I used to never go to the doctor now I driving him nuts because he won't even consider lyme.

Dr C in Springfield is about 6-7 hours, I think. Many from MN see him.

Dr. C is 625 miles from St. Paul/Minneapolis. It's a 10-11 hour drive.

Tutu,
You suuuuuuthern folk are just too laid back!!! You were close enough!!!

Course look at ME, nobodies slower than I am, from more than one aspect!! [bonk] More sore head!!

Gopher Freak,

Make the BIG trip down to Mo. You will be glad you did, I think!! If NOT then blame me [Big Grin] , I have broad shoulders and can take it!! When fighting this disease you need to shoot for the very "BEST" you can find to give yourself the edge, second best doesnt cut it!!! Go first class on LLMD's and scrimp somewhere else to make up. IF you need Minn. references let me know. But you already have an excellent one above in this thread. DONT give up your quest of treatment.

I know what your thinking. What if I travel all the way down there and the doc treats me like mine did back home? Dont worry, it wont be anything LIKE that!!! Doc C.s motto is """every thing (IS) "LYME" until proven otherwise""" Look up his web site and you will see it isnt like your doc at all!!!
Happy wellness, cuz I still B --just don--!!!!

Hi,

I am new to the forum (just found it today) I recently had brain surgery at the U of M Fairview and know that they have a Lyme Disease department. I don't know of any specific Dr.'s or their names but it might be an avenue you might research.

Along with my brain tumor, I was also diagnosed with LD and I completly understand your worries.

Good Luck

Gopher Freak,

I just did a web search for MN. I found this website that you might want to look at. Not a lot of info on it but there is a listing of a support group in your area along with an email address that might help get you in touch with a MD.

http://www.lymemn.org/support.html

Let me know if you find one.

Wow! You have been through a lot. We haven't found a doctor in the Twin Cities that would treat chronic Lyme Disease. My kids have been sick for a long time. Hopefully, this is a change in the right direction.

Who is treating your Lyme Disease?

We live in Woodbury and are patients of Dr. C in MO.

An observation about U of M: their website info about Lyme disease states that 2 weeks of oral abx will cure early Lyme, and a month for later stages. I would avoid any place making this claim like the plague. They also state that only 1% of tick bites result in Lyme disease. Even if this is true, I don't see how any body can make that claim based on science, because the data doesn't exist.
