I did a search and came up with a post that said he is unbelievably expensive. We may be able to get in with him because a friend is already being treated for LD there. His office did my 10yo daughter's Igenex last week, but I'd like to get her seen by a LLMD soon, like before the tests even come back - I'd rather have her on the abx as a precaution than wait and let the nasty buggers run riot in her body for another week or so.

I just realized this is your 10 yr old child-you're welcome to phone me 570 313 3993
If in doubt, TREAT. 10 yr olds can take doxy, just be sure to take it on a full stomach and with a full glass of liquid.

Thanks for the reply. I'm planning to call the pediatrician back today and press her to give us an Rx until the Igenex gets back. She's convinced it isn't Lyme because only the IgG 41 reacted, but then again, she also wants us to go see a rheumatologist even though my daughter's bloodwork didn't show evidence of inflammation. I'll mention doxycycline and see what she says.

Just to clarify, I don't mean Dr. B in Colmar - I've heard he's exorbitant. I'm asking about Dr. B in West Chester, which is much further west in Chester County. Thanks!

We've been seeing Dr. B from West Chester for almost a year and have loved him. However, his office staff (or someone) is very unorganized.
Often the wait was extremely long - last visit we waited 6 hours to see him.
This week something is going on. The staff is quitting and all the doctor's appointments have been cancelled. When the one nurse who has been giving my husband his IM Bicillin shots called yesterday, I asked her whether she was advising us to find another doctor and said said yes. She is the only one left in the office.
I feel so sad. Dr. B has been a great doctor whom we've trusted. I hate that now we have to start over and find a new doctor. I also am hoping that whatever is wrong with Dr. B (we were told he is "sick") will resolve itself soon.
Best of luck to you in finding a good LLMD.

Danser, I'm told his Lyme is running him down. He works constantly and never takes time to rest, which we all know is vital to recovery. I'm trying to find out if we can get in with Dr. C in Mendenhall for her pediatric expertise, but her office is closed until 5/22 for some reason. Funny time for a Lyme doctor to take a vacation - right as tick season is ramping up. Anyway, let me know where you land and whether you like the doctor. I'm planning to keep a running list of LLMDs for future reference in case something like this happens again.
