I am currently seeing Dr. S. in Chadds Ford. I had a positive Lyme test in September of 2006.
Initially I was on IV Rocephin, and initially I saw some intermittent improvement until the infusions were put on hold for my sky high liver enzymes.
I guess it's possible my Lyme got 'smart' during this break and doesn't now respond to cepha-type drugs.
I am now off IV Rocephin and on oral Ceftin instead. I am also on Bactrim for staph.
Next week I see Dr. F. in Kennett Square because I have a hunch I have at the very least babesia and bartonella, but I've been tested twice for them and both times I was negative.
Does anyone on here know if Dr. F. in Kennett Square will treat for coinfections on a trial basis to see if the meds help?
I am literally walking around with pinpoint and/or unequal pupils 24/7, again sweating profusely throughtout the day and night. I also believe it's been making me TRIpolar.
The hours I sleep coincide with those of the white-footed mouse as well. Help?
I need to find a doctor who isn't going to make me prove a positive before he starts trying other abx for coinfections.

I too started with Dr S and ended up with Dr F. My cos were negitive with Dr. S and positive for Bart with Dr F a year later, same lab. Neither thought that out of the ordinary.
Dr F did have me do mepron in case I had Babs too. Only a very mild reaction the first month and no reaction after the second bottle. We concluded that it wasn't likely that I had Babs.
Then Dr F started to test for Rocky Mountain, BINGO. I was positive. Rocephin doesn't kill RMSF. Fortuanetly the tetra/Biaxin that I took for lyme addresses RMSF as well as Bart, Lyme and mycoplasma that I tested positive for too.
Dr F will want to treat you for systemic yeast and look into food sensitivies that might be dragging down your immune system. Get ready for a low carb diet with no artifical sweateners and improving your diet on all fronts.
Have to go-

he treats based on symtoms and uses blood work to track the progress of healing.
Take copies of all bloodwork you have with you and make a short time line of major lyme things or other health issues if you have time. This made my first visit focused more on the now and future and less on the past.
